My budgie,Mack,likes to take baths in drinking glasses.He makes me hold them sideways then climbs right in and goes to the bottom and starts playing in the water.We have huge drinking glasses XD

Turn down the water volume ... LOL. Actually, if he gets water forced down his nostrils or mouth it could hurt him or make him sick later. Regulate the water to just a trickle.
A healthy budgie won't die from just having a bath if kept in the proper environment (as in its not freezing in your house and its warm enough for him to dry himself in without a breeze).
For him to just die from a bath he would have either had to have been ill already or freezing cold afterwards.
