  • Ron Paul wants to stop all these bogus wars based on the 9/11 false flag lie. Waters is a musicial genius.

  • I BELIEVE

    AFTER THIS SONG

    REALLY

  • WE ARE MANY......THEY ARE FEW!

    TOGETHER WE ARE ONE!

    We Are The 99%!

  • I wish the tide really was turning back in the 80's when he made this, sadly things have just gotten worse since then...

  • @aegisgfx it's because he made this song...also woke those "1%" (reason for quotation marks would take too long to explain) to reality

  • Amazing message, futuristic, very much geared towards 2011, only way to stop the madness is to increase our natural consiousness

  • I wish that the world changes, this is a song about hope & change!

  • As the war in Iraq ends and the soldiers walk up the hills to the helicopters to return to their families and all everybody decides to make peace with no more blood and gunfire. This song will be playing.

  • I have to admit, this almost made me cry. This is a very beutiful song.

  • Happy Birthday to you good Sir. :)

  • i still think the world is flat,,,?

  • @matitsarichy

Unpure, filled with false moves, and things that just aren't right, singing as if it's the most normal thing in the world, unknowing of the faults in their acts, or just ... not round

  • i no he was im saying why do people say he sounds like pink floyd when he is

  • Ohhh the tide is turninggg

  • Lol why would people he sound pink Floyd haha thick that like

  • @XxFireStarterzZ he was in pink floyd, and learn to write clearly. I had trouble workin out wot you meant

  • If anyone says once more that Roger sounds like Pink Floyd ill scream. He was Pink Floyd. He was the main writer. Dave's a great guitarist and song writer in his own right. Roger, though, was the driving force behind pink floyd. Rejoice in this talent. He's put it out there for the whole world to enjoy.

  • More people need to take heed of these wise lyrics, Roger speaks the truth!

  • I'm not saying that the battle is won But on Saturday night all those kids in the sun Wrested technology's sword from the hand of the war lords

  • All of us who have sharp awareness of reality feel many moments of discouragement but let us not forget that light shines brighter in the darkest hour. Big crises always elicit the best of human nature. The Tide is Turning :)

  • One of the all time best selling artists worldwide...ever...and top 5 in rock bands i believe...2 of the all time best selling albums...the tours...longevity...ingenuity...an album on the charts for what...17 years?! that will never happen again....

    yeah overrated :rolls eyes:

they'll be playing these guys 1000 years from now

    and this song is amazing

  • @groovinash i agree...

  • This is a masterpiece.

  • Pink Floyd was a psychodelic pop rock band at the beginning of 1970s.

  • @frubtok7 Incorrect. Late 60's my friend.

  • It gives me chills every time I listen ti the gregorian charts of this song.

  • This would bring a tear to the eye of a statue.

  • Pink Floyd ! Grande.

  • 6 people disliked this video :/

  • Pink Floyd is an outstanding but also the most overrated band in the history of pop music. I appreciate some of their work but they created also the most pretentious and boring album of 20 th century - Final Cut. However, Tide Is Turning is the last great song of Roger Waters. Beautiful tune, brilliant guitar a la Mark Knopfler and wonderful mood.

  • @frubtok7 I love The final cut, Waters lyrics are in my opinion one of the strongest he has ever written. But I guess its a hate/love album...

btw, "Pink Floyd the most overrated band in the history of POP!? music", you clearly have no idea what u are talking about

  • @MrScorpions4ever - I correct my opinion - Pink Floyd is the most overrated band in the history of pop-rock music. And one more thing. The tide is turning wasn't Water's last great song. It was only Lost boys calling. I completely forgot about that one. Sorry. Unfortunately by recording The final cut, Floyds really touched the bottom of boredom. That album was a real disaster. No wonder the rest of band wanted to ged rid of Water's since then. I do understand them.

  • @frubtok7 Pink Floyd = psychodelic rock band. very very very little to do with pop. "Overrated" is ur opinion, and its no point arguing about that. I dont think they are overrated or underrated ;)

The final cut seems to be a hate/love album, kinda like his first real solo Pros and cons of hitch hiking. I love them both. And Roger left Pink Floyd, they didnt kick him out. Now you know that ;)

  • Nice :)

  • I remember when I got my first girlfriend a few months ago. I was so happy because despite countless tries I was always lonely in my life, wondering when things were going to change. They did, but now I'm at square 1 again. That's why this song is so bittersweet for me. You could say it's point is not relationships, but that's the beauty of music, you can relate to it in many ways. Good music, that is.

  • @LopezzT If someone loved you once, you can be loved again

  • So relaxing,so intense.............so Waters.

  • They knew what the 26th of March was all about, they knew what was happening to millions of future students and public sector workers, they knew just how important this weekend was to thousands of people all across England, Yet they refused to lay on support for students from Bradford University wanting to stand by their fellow comrades in London this weekend. Once again, the Bradford University Union has failed to deliver.

  • The most beautiful song,Roger has it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..no one say any different.!!!

  • This is the song is

  • god i forgot how good that is

  • Only two songs ' the tide is turning' and ' me or him' are progg masterpieces. Sadly the rest of the album is crap.

  • Outstanding.

  • but only six , six against the world

  • 6 people cannot appreciate art at all!

  • one of my all time favorites. we need the sentiments in this song in this country and the world, as much as we ever did. god help us all

  • Wonderful song !!! What can I say else ? :)

  • what a song nothing like this today

  • Just how I imagined the video would be

  • A great song from an otherwise dreadful album.

  • Beautiful song

  • Great piece of music

  • if you liked this one as much as i did try "EACH SMALL CANDLE"

  • best music on the planet !!¬! goose bumps and a tear in the eye!..roger waters is the MAN!!!!!!!!!

  • THIS IS NOT PINK FLOYD´S SONG. ROGER WATER´S DID THIS WONDERFUL MASTERPIECE,

  • Thanks for the video FLOYDIANTHEO ... excellent ... three months ago that I came looking for ... thanks ...

  • Miahs "Enterance Music" at our Wedding

  • When elected as president or prime minister, they should make them listen to this song, if they don't cry, they should be kicked out of office instantly

  • How real is this song hey?

Lets create a better world for all in harmony... AS ONE!!!

  • It is my best Pink Floyd song . I dedicate this song for my deceased father . I love u dad I miss you

  • @Zigorth Everytime I listen to Pink Floyd I think of my dad since he listened to them all the time. But this isn't Pink Floyd :-(

  • Okay, so Radio KAOS may not have been a 'genius' album, but it was pretty solid. If you call it, or 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' for that matter, master-pieces then you're not making that accolade very exclusive, as albums like 'Wish You Were Here' really should rise above it (in my opinion).

  • When I first heard this song, I thought, OH MY GOD, if Roger Waters can finally write an optimistic song, then maybe there is hope.

    Thank you, Roger.

  • simply a fantastic song , timeless masterpiece, sending out it`s message in which ever way you choose to take it , for me standing up for myself for once , taking charge of my own live i turned for the better, just like the tide did ! .......and hey am welsh lol male voice choirs haunting sound gives me shivers and always made me think of home xx

  • BRAVO...

    Tout est beau !

merci autostopowicz70 pour ce partage !

  • perhaps the most 'great composer of all time

  • I love this song. I love the message of hope for peace. "Now the satellite's confused cause on Saturday night, the airwaves are full of compassion and light, with silicone hearts warmed to the sights of a billion candles burning. I'm not saying that the battle's won, but on Saturday night all the kids in the sun, wrested technology's sword from the hands of the warlord".

  • Wspaniały kawałek.

  • Agreed. Brilliant, awesome song, which stands the test of time beautifully.

  • COOL

  • Love it ;o)

  • simply outstanding

  • This song has always given me goose bumps. Ever since it was released on Roger's album "Radio Chaos" in 1987.

    ....23 years of goose bumps...

Hhmmm...Well, I guess that this man has done something right for me.

  • Outstanding song..brilliant album..all those who keep knocking and comparing the different floyd camps you are a disgrace..have you even listened to this song??? Billy if your listening to me, please call now

  • @fantominc Are you saying that waters is making better stuff than Gilmour? I don´t think so, still they are both excellent

  • @l2XMetalX2l

No that's not what I meant..I meant listen to the message of the song...and the album...Its a song of hope and about putting differences aside and coming together for a greater good that trancends petty arguments and differences of opinion.

The mere fact that people sit and argue this and that on a thread to this song makes me think that these folk arnt even listening and heeding the message that Roger is putting out there...It is frustrating...

It is very "Us & Them"...

  • Pink Floyd were a wonderful combination of a group of induvidually talented musicians and as a whole they were a force greater than the sum of the individual parts...

I embrace all of their solo work and don't like to compare because they have so much diffent to offer...:)

I think we are blessed to get any of this wondeful music and I think we should embrace and enjoy rather than bicker and compare...

  • @fantominc Yeah you are right with that one

  • Comment removed

  • they pressed the button

  • Good on you Roger, the tide is turning!!!

  • aha when I was a little girl I used to cry at this :')

    in a good way ofc.

  • long live waters

  • GREAT SONG!!!

  • Guilmour is "front man rock star" whereas Waters is words and tunes.I'll take Waters any day!

  • 3 months after this video release... DG kicked all expectations with A Momentary Lapse of Reason...

  • Here, here. Well said!

  • the woman in the video is rogers mother and he is the baby waving his father goodbye to war. his father never returned and rogers lyrics were all inspired by a melancholy, sad, against the war theme because he never knew his father.

  • super chingon he

NAMAZ q kiero conseguir el radio kaos

    DOND LO puedo conseguir?

  • Good track and its all about change, its

forces it self to take a all hard look at what were becoming. But thank the gods for billy.*****

  • But God, don't you miss Gilmour's guitarr? This solo is kind of David Knopfler-ish. And with all respect, Gilmor would have done it much better.

  • I hear what you aere saying but I think the point of the song was to draw attention to a certain instrument. its about the message the song conveys. : )

  • Of course, and maybe you're right that Gilmour would have taken too much attention (i.e. one of the reason for the spit of PF). But I still miss it in general. Love the song and the album though.

  • I'm having to learn to limit the guitar and other standoutish instruments in my own music, Roger has the right Idea, when you use less of somthing here and there it brings out the best in a mix and prevents the song from loosing it's focas.

    less is more : )

  • shit , im in a little rowing boat and , oooooohhhh the tide is turning ! shiting fuck.

  • who is that woman in the clip with the child?

  • Roger can see in the future!

This is such an amazing song.

It lets me believe there's hope.

  • I saw this tour...it was AMAZING live..I put this cd on every now and then and it always gives me chills..

  • Comment removed

  • Who is the strongest,

    Who is the best,

    Who holds the aces?

    The East

    or the West?

... This is the crap our children are learning?

  • too true.

  • To me, this video is strangely reminiscent of the "Bring the Boys Back Home" scene of " The Wall" movie . When the men are coming outta the mine sound a lot like the voices used in that scene.

  • What a clever guy Roger is, the message in morse code makes me chuckle, I guess Silvester wasn't amused.

  • con una canzone cosi si puo anche chiudere gli occhi

  • after all those years still AMAZING !! take that Britney

  • I agree-KAOS always gets overlooked, this is awesome. I still have the CD somewhere, I should break it out again.

  • i dont believe in prophets but Waters really makes me take a double take.this is a great record. much better than the Water-less momentary lapse of reason.and on this record he eludes to some stuff that seems to be an eery revelation years later.note his references to war in the Desert between the 'cowboys' Americans and the oil sheiks etc. also on the final cut you here the line get your hands off my filthy desert.years before the Iraq-America wars in1990 an2003-?interesting and a bit scarey.

  • @peacenikkle Nice comment,by the way, it's "allude",anyway what's even more eerie,is the line from the title track (Radio Waves} is "Oklahoma City,Radio Waves" long before that s#*t happened!!

  • love the look

  • All coal miners walk off the job around the world, no longer is in necessary burn dead plants and animals to create energy, we have found a renewable resource, the hot air that is produced from Obama is enough to sustain the world forever, now everyone is Free.. Roger can see the future

  • why this album no one knows?

but lapse reason all people buy that and had great tour?

but roger's 1987 tour the same time no one go?

  • what a stupid comment.

  • I know you are but what am I?

  • lol it looks like waters made the album + music videos in one day

  • Beautiful.

  • Its true, the tide IS turning! The battle is almost won! 20 Years later I am typing this. Roger knows something!

  • can never get enough of this song.

it has such a fine harmony and gives me the everyday equilibium...

he`s one of the greatest artist the world have.

  • This song is a unique masterpiece. And those Gregorian chants in the end are pure genius! :P THANKS.

  • True!

    :)

  • @jmldspt Welsh?

  • @gazamused welsh who?

  • @jmldspt it's welsh male voice choir, not gregorian chanting. think that's what he meant

  • @jmldspt NOt Grergorian Chants THATS A WALES MALE VOICE CHOIR The Male Voice Choir stops singing, the village is dying. ... Billy makes contact with Jim a DJ at Radio KAOS, a renegade rock station ...

  • @jmldspt It's not Gregorian Chants it's a Welsh Male Voice Choir. Subtle difference.

  • @jmldspt All that comes from Pink Ffloyd and Roger Waters is pure genius, indeed :0)

  • the thought of my little ones burning, ooohhoo the tide is turning, ooohhooo the tide is turning,

  • Radio Kaos was such a great album and tour.

  • such a great album radio kaos but always gets overlooked

  • Yes, I totally agree that.

  • Gracias por subir este video.

    Gran Canción gracias Roger ¡¡¡¡

    Thank you floydiantheo

  • I think Rogers main problem since he left Floyd is that hes been trying to do the wall again when he should try something completely new but i do like the things hes done on his own amused to death is the only one of his albums that I can really get into though

  • Good thing he wrote "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" and "Radio Kaos" before the Wall was even released.

  • KAOS was a great concept and I remember seeing "Radio Waves" and "Sunset Strip" frequently on MTV. However, this track was the best song on KAOS and only song on the album that has held up today and the track I still like. The remainder of the album today sounds very 1980s (though a great album but has sonically aged the poorest). Amused to Death was a great album and still sounds fresh whereas this sounds like a 1980s record (though aged better than some 1980s recordings).

  • an amazing song writer. all his solo stuff is quality .. perhaps not suited for mass appeal.. its not always easy listening.. it makes you think.. and that's part of roger's genius.

  • This song makes me think of how awesome it would be if Roger Waters appeared in We Are The World.

  • Best Roger Waters solo effort in my opinion. This song just gives me chills every time I hear it

  • All those kids in the sun wrested technologies sword from the hands of the warlords

  • I dno why but this song makes me feel really sad :'(

  • i guess because its a sad song, i also think it makes me sad, but also its a one of the best song ever made!

  • Roger...you are the one

  • "this is the crap that our children are learning" - that reminds me of something... :D

but The Tide is Turning! :)

  • this is one of those song that i wish that they will play in my funeral.

    two words : fuckin' great

  • It's the last track on 'Radio KAOS', RW's second album post-Floyd.

  • Great Man great song great gig. may his songs inspire more walls to come down for freedom.

  • I know something much more sickening.

  • what album is this song from?

    this song is SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD

  • It's the last tune on 'Radio KAOS' -- RW's 2nd post-Floyd album.

  • Radio K.A.O.S,by the Great Roger Waters of Pink Floyd

  • scotranger ..typical bluenose moron.... the tides not turning for you huns,,,you will always be shit..

  • 'Typical' ? 'Bluenose' ? 'Moron' ? Typical tim. You just had to pick out the 'Ranger' part didn't you. At least I'm not a traitor to my country like most of you 'Irish' people who were born and bred in Scotland. Aiden McGeady chose to play for Ireland rather than his own country, why is that ? Because he's a bigot. I wonder if you even know who the Huns were ?

  • very sensetive, makes me think , makes me wonder, makes me happy , makes me sad......

    just georgius

  • openyour eyes and mind people.....you will really like the song.....great song

  • Looking for the Molly's song, anyone has a link?

  • Great to hear the miners - fuck Thatcher may she rot in hell!

  • y does everyone have to argue whats the point you act all hard on the web in real life u just look like pricks.....

just listen to the song forget about these fucking arguments about nothing

  • Beautiful. What a powerful song. Radio K.A.O.S. is Waters' best solo work.

  • One of the best albums of the 80s.

  • Do any of you know how to argue without swearing at eachother? Grow up.

  • great song

  • Roger waters one number

  • The 80s were an incredible low in rock music compared to the 70s. This should be plainly seen. Pop music is trickier, because I'd personally like new wave and even stuff like A-Ha over disco and the Carpenters.

  • whole radio KAOS album is very good

  • Great song, makes me cry.

  • this guy is an anthem. a symbol of peace, justice, social equality. If every musician would be like him we will live in a far better world. But the mass is fool, full with egoism, illusions and wrong values. Just the minority feel in symbiosis with him. For that reason the tide has never turned, and never will.

  • Surely he is underrated. If you listen to his lyrics, you will understand what he wants to say and then you will understand that Roger Waters is a GENIUS.

  • I hate to say it , but if Roger had done this as a concept album with the Floyd then this would have been a bit of an anthem.

  • Roger Waters is the most underated song writer ever, he deserves far more credit than he gets! wonderful song, superb artist!

  • yesssssssssss

  • wow
