Woops my itunes started playing ''tricky''-Run DMC/Beastie Boys, i was just like ''what a stupid f*cking song to add to the background to people gutting fish''
just wondering, but what is done with all of the organs of fish. i have never once seen any fish organs for sale. i wonder if thats what they put in hotdogs lol
non-fillet byproducts include fertilizer, fish meal for animals and other fish, and bait. Bones are used for fish stocks and some delicacies that require gelatin as well as some calcium supplements for those without access to shell or coral calcium carbonate. Really, very little is wasted. Only the slime and blood aren't readily used by Western cultures.
guilty of both, as well as living on a coastal town in New England. But this falls into the capitalistic ideal, if something exists, people will strive to make a profit on it. If you have something that can be used for anything, you can charge for it. Look at bio-diesel. They can make it out of chicken guts from slaughter houses. Now the market value of those are through the rood (comparatively speaking) since farmers want for crops, business for fuel, and whatever else they do with it
How can anyone slauhgter a fish that's dead already? Im sure the person that posted this clip ate tuna! Fish dont have feelings as long as they are not mamals!
i watched it 10 times all i saw was guys cleaning fish, i missed a violent slaughter, or do i just possess the sense to realized fish doesn't grow by itself in butcher paper?
sozzy to dissapoint all envirormentalists these fish are already dead, oh and tunas are killed by a wire that is stuck into their brain, this looks cruel but kills emidiately
The title, and the description here is completely wrong. This is not violent. It's not a slaughter, and this is not 'just after they fished them.' This is not taking place on a boat. This is after, and taken to a facility. These fish are long since dead, so it's not like they're feeling any pain. Infact, most fisherman, to eleviate the pain and fear that is caused through suffocation, knock the fish out with a club after catching and landing the fish.
agree that this is not slaughter... this is processing. Title of this video is only there to get people to watch. This truly is not an animal abuse video.
I agree, I didn't see anything violent here it's just regular gutting, it's not like that on dolphin slaughter vid. I'd like to work at one of these places looks fun q:)
when all the big fish are gone and the fisher'men' are out of work, its gonna be YOUR taxes paying for their welfare...you won't like these fisher'men' then, will you?
How the hell do you catch something that big? shark hooks? how the hell CAN you catch something that big good god man thats sooo huge and those big fillets of meat they were cutting out i thought to myself BBQ - ssssssssssssssssst..... man ill pay 250$ for a fish that big

thts not violent...thats pretty straight forward. Violent is taking an axe and chopping the shit out of it.
Unlovedhero5 2 years ago 13
@Unlovedhero5 ya man, theres really no clean way to do this kinda stuff after getting an animal
XenophonZolatta 7 months ago
Thats not really violent. it's the typical way of cleaning tuna.
1. Reel it in.
2. Gaff it
3. Beat it unconcious with a bat (optional)
4. Cut it's gills.

Wow tuna are freakin huge!
Well its not violent, they're just doing their jobs.
Plus they were alrdy dead by the time they got back to the shore for cutting/removal of organs.
All they did was cut open an entry, and removed the guts. Its not like they continously stabbed it and slit it up into pieces or anything. lol
david000009 3 years ago 4
What a waste- you could make an extreme high protein paste from the organs and feed it to athletes

balsar429 3 years ago 2
If you don't clean the entrails and gills out of the fish the meat spoils very quickly. That would be inhumane. Killing an animal and wasting it.

Maybe they're supposed to put the whole 200+lb fish on your plate.
