  • Your hilarious. "The people who have no life society!" hahahaha

  • The rule of thirds really works---I hardly ever take a photo where the subject is right in the center--actually kind of labels a person as a neophyte if all they take is centered subject shots---I have never used a DSLR I used a 35mm SLR and now only have a point and shoot digital camera. Next I want to get a decent cam like the XTI. I've been told it was a good beginner's SLR but also was told that about the Nikon D40.........But, if their customer service is crap then I may just get a XTI

  • dude, you talk 90% crap 10% little info

  • Uhhh, I'm like trying to see what you are trying to share with us in this forum. I love my canon. I guess I was looking for more than raw fish and a text from the girlfriend. Hummm...??!!! Well Cheers... Oh yeah, what's with the live chat on the lower left???

  • Like if you are a Canon Fanboy :D

  • You lost me at "seventh grade".

  • I still have a twin lens reflex. Ahh, those were the days!

  • NIKON!!!!!!!!!

  • Go CANON!

  • Does the Rebel XTi capture video ?????

  • the canon 500d does

  • Comment removed

  • No it does not

  • no SLR takes pictures only..DSLR take video and picture

  • @KevalProduction fail. slr is a dslr. dslr just means digital, and slr is medium format. and not all dslr's take video.

  • @AMENTADESIGN

No, only the new DSLRs do. It's harder to have video on a DSLR than a point and shoot.

  • slr's are great... you just need to maybe take a basic class so you know how the controls are like aperture shutter speed but id say its more fun taking pictures with an slr than with a point and shoot..

  • i want this camera soo bad.

    :(

  • why dont you get the new rebel comming out in may

  • What is it called? the T1i or something?

  • Why do they make the lenses a pain to remove ?

  • This guy sure likes to hear the sound of his own voice.

  • thanks video.. I just got this cam for x mas.

And I found out if you want to look through the screen you are no longer on the audo settings and it doesnt take the pack as fast as auto.... right? thanks!

  • conon!

  • nikon sucks dick compared to canon products

and why say for the wind we are talking about camera's not world of warcraft

  • Amateur

    FUCK CANON... NIKON FTW!!!

  • I'd like to video my bike rides and other stuff and am thinking of either getting a flip ultra but worried about it shaking on the bike as it is so long so am thinking of getting a digital camera that can do video as well. Anyone suggest a digital camera that does video as well as or better than the flip ultra?

  • Fuck Canon. i like my Logitech SLR cameras.

  • Lol Logitech makes DSLR's?

  • It was a joke. lol

  • O lol, good joke cause you maid me spit my soda when I read it lol. JK peace

  • same here, they do make those lenses a pain to remove though.

  • what .. press the button and turn? ...

  • Go Canon

  • canon ftw! i also dislike taking pics of ppl

  • *high five* Canon brother. Love your vids. =)

  • this video is worthless, you dont even review the camera what the hell is the point of this

  • How could you ever buy a camera called ' rebel'? - what like james dean or something? How naff.

  • If you don't like the name, buy an Europian Canon

    It's called Canon 400D/ XTi.

Or if you don't wanna buy it ,don't write comments with no meaning.

  • Hi photogapher91, I don't think I've ever come across someone who can't spell European before...Wow! You're a first.

  • First , I didn't spell it , but I wrote it.

Second , I'm still learnin' english , because I don't live in USA, and I'm not an American.

Third , nobody pays you to correct our mistakes.

By the way you wrote , I think that you are 15.

  • lol europian (euro -pi -an)... gg.

  • this guy sure likes to talk and talk!

  • CANON!

  • The rule of thirds is the best thing in photography

  • Konica Minolta might argue with the Nikon > * argument. =)

  • you mean SOny? Not really.

  • All of them are made in China so I could care less if a Nikon lense is 2% better.

  • if you like the xti try the 40D

  • Fuck off then, you may have thought your getting away with your comment but insulting people who like Chris is as bad as wactching your mother being dug up from her unworthy grave and done up her cracked ass i.e. by you. So go back to downloading porn and trying to rid the smell of the mop you used at work today.

  • well ive been using point and shoot cameras for awhile now im jus wondering if this is a good upgrade from point and shoot?

  • it is the best possible upgrade from point & shoot

  • The people with no life society. That was great Chris.

  • Chris you are wise, Canon products kick ass! Also i don't like taking pictures of people either.

  • I am into photography, and the "rule of thirds" can work very well , if it is used properly. It is good for a better view of a background. However if the person or thing is not completely in view of the picture it can look odd.

  • Go Canon, indeed.

  • would you guys recommend this to starters like myself?

  • yes!

  • Chris, I hope you make a small series from this - I would love to see more videos from you on digital photography!

  • Checked in for XTi info as I just bought one and am waiting for the lens. Found title for this should be Photo 101 (or 100.) Didn't really say anything except he dissed Nikkon for peronal experience. Clearly a rambler who needs someone to talk to.

  • I've got a d40 :).

  • The Canon 40D looks much impressive when compared to the Rebel XTi - but then again, it is in another price point and heavier.

  • D40, Nikon D40.

  • Oh wow, very similar model numbering!

No matter what brand, Nikon and Canon are the top leaders - as evident by many forums on the subject.

I have much to learn about this SLR - before a purchase - not after.

I don't want to buy into something - learn about it - then regret the purchase.

  • It's a decent camera. I've got friend using it with great results. I'm a Nikon user though.

  • Do you have a daughter named Nina and a son named Nick? O_O.

  • Canon is great -- I've had an xti since it was released and love it, and two years p&s camera to canon for repair after the warranty had run out and they repaired it for me for free, even paid for shipping and included a personalized note. That sealed the deal for me -- great company, great cameras.

  • whats a film camera?? how does it work? can i load it with my SD card??

  • ive had an xti for about 4 months and its absolutely amazing. quality of images is great. kit lens is crap though. i got the sigma 10-20 and its insanely better and i love taking wide angle rather than telephoto shots. and also Canon > Nikon!!!

  • get a fujifilm s5700

i use it and its great!

  • Thanks for the info.

  • hamachi is a good program

  • I got the Canon Rebel XTI for Christmas as well. I love it and can't wait to put it in to production use. My best friend has the next Canon DSLR up and was impressed with the XTI. The kit lens that comes with it isn't all that great. A much better lens can be had to really fully enhance the abilities of this camera.

  • Let's get digital!

  • is kodak any good?

  • I live in Rochester, NY where Kodak is based and know a number of people that work for the company, so I'd like to say that they make a good product. I can't. Kodak digital cameras are, as a general rule, terrible.

  • I had a Kodak (my first digital (1 MegaPixel) camera) - used a ton of batteries - never again.

  • man isent you my ps3 tips

  • I've got the Rebel XT, glad you switched to SLR.

  • Hi I have the Canon 400D DSLR 10mp 2.5 inch sceen, do you have this model in USA? .. Im online from UK.

  • I have that camera, it is so awesome :)

  • Why do I always get: "An error occurred, please try again later." when watching these vids?

The video in the background is working, but there is a black screen over the vid.

  • In the 1971 movie "Little Murders" Elliott Gould played an existentialist named Alfred Chamberlain. The character was a photographer who couldn't take pictures of people.

The 70's were a different time. You could see exhaust, cars rusted, full service gas stations and people used actual currency.

  • I remember the day of film cameras....

  • Still used quite a bit by professionals today, its not dead yeat, not even close.

  • i love canon

  • I really wished you would have mentioned about the battery life of the camera.

  • i wish youtubes movie quality was better!

  • I work at Canon :P

And i think canon cameras are the best ones

  • lol

  • Hahah dinner was ready but you sat another 10mins doing a youtube video lol thats funny!

  • Yes! Been waiting for you to release this video ever since you recorded it. :)

  • Why are you people voting it bad :( I wanted this video for the name of the camera.
