Connect the 2 PC's using "Synergy" a free software - lets you use 1 mouse and 1 keyboard across multiple PC's on different platforms (PC, Mac). You switch computers like you would using multiple monitors (drag mouse over to other monitor).
If anything DVI would be great if you have the inputs (if you don't want to go HDMI). You can get the same quality with DVI. I'd go with HDMI because you'll get the Audio and Video and support of 1920x1080 Resolution.
@ResidentG33k DVI would have been my first choice but the Vizio only had VGA input or HDMI and after testing the HDMI the quality was terrible so I decided to stick with the VGA, I've been very happy with it overall, my next setup will have DVI though for sure! Thanks for posting.
@FranksTechHelp Make sure when using HDMI on your computer, the drivers are updated and you're using the ATI Manager or Nvidia Manager that they come with. Using the stand alone Driver may not be out putting the right resolution at the HDMI Port. You can go DVI to HDMI btw too. They sell cheap adapters online. Google @ Monoprice
Nice video and great setup. I have a question if you can help? Im looking at buying a new PC and it will have a HDMI out, but if I want to connect to a 32" would it be better to use VGA? Iv read a few posts here and there saying things about getting strange results from HDMI. I also have a friend who connects his PC to a 32" via HDMI and the picture has strange colours and just doesnt look right. His TV is 720p so I thought maybe the PC is outputting 1080 and the TV is downscaling this?
@mutantenemy2008 I highly suggest the VGA input, the Vizio in this video has VGA and HDMI, when I plug in my Mac or PC through HDMI it looked very bad. When I used the VGA it looks a thousand times better!

@Th3MightyDaewoo No name that I know of, it was given to me, then I added the support brackets and the monitor swing arms myself. Go to some thrift stores you should be able to find one pretty cheap that is used.
cool what u made from such a small desk to a desk with tones of things on it.......i like the wall tilt brackets on the side of the desk so it holds your monitor...good idea....and the keyboard too....awesome!

my set up is a main monitor that is a crt 24 inch and secondary is a smaller 15 inch crt all on 1 desk and the 24 inch takes up alota room and weighs like 80-90 pounds lol

$20 mount arms! im so gonna get some of those, my setup is gonna be similar to yours, just smaller / cheaper, 24'' Benq, and two 19'' AOC, not much but its a start. No MAC, just one gaming PC and a cheapo support PC to steal my neighbours WiFi and download stuff while i game.. KVMs are fun.
Yes, the swing arm mounts rock! I was afraid they would be cheap-o but they are very heavy duty. Sounds like you will have a nice setup once you are done. I almost wish I had a smaller screen in the middle, almost too big for a desk unit. And yes, KVM are very fun! I also have a friend who connects his PC to a 32" via HDMI and the picture has strange colours and just doesnt look right. His TV is 720p so I thought maybe the PC is outputting 1080 and the TV is downscaling this?

@mutantenemy2008 I highly suggest the VGA input, the Vizio in this video has VGA and HDMI, when I plug in my Mac or PC through HDMI it looked very bad. When I used the VGA it looks a thousand times better!

@Th3MightyDaewoo No name that I know of, it was given to me, then I added the support brackets and the monitor swing arms myself. Go to some thrift stores you should be able to find one pretty cheap that is used.

cool what u made from such a small desk to a desk with tones of things on it.......i like the wall tilt brackets on the side of the desk so it holds your monitor...good idea....and the keyboard too....awesome!

my set up is a main monitor that is a crt 24 inch and secondary is a smaller 15 inch crt all on 1 desk and the 24 inch takes up alota room and weighs like 80-90 pounds lol

$20 mount arms! im so gonna get some of those, my setup is gonna be similar to yours, just smaller / cheaper, 24'' Benq, and two 19'' AOC, not much but its a start. No MAC, just one gaming PC and a cheapo support PC to steal my neighbours WiFi and download stuff while i game.. KVMs are fun.

Yes, the swing arm mounts rock! I was afraid they would be cheap-o but they are very heavy duty. Sounds like you will have a nice setup once you are done. I almost wish I had a smaller screen in the middle, almost too big for a desk unit. And yes, KVM are very fun! Thanks for posting and let us know when you do it, maybe you can post a response video with your setup.
