  • @TheKylemateTv salamat ! born and raised sa Pinas :) at always Pinay at heart of course !!!

  • Love the feet, the toes are so cute, beautifully shaped. Debs in IOM x

  • can you make a video on how to make the dogs

  • i love ur voice girl

  • Hi Mayen, outstanding job!!!! how did you write the small letters?

  • i used an edible marker from americolor. looks just like a regular marker :)

  • Hey i love making these cakes. But im not quite sure how to make the people. Can u help?

  • So whimsical! The candle idea is genius!!! I will learn so much from you:)

I know my own imagination will "kick-in" after a while, but for now, I feel like a sponge!

How long have you been making cakes like these? How long have you been using an airbrush? How long have you known you are a genius??? lol

You are such a sweet lady. I am so happy to have met you:)

    Katie

  • Thanks :) i have started making the cakes in jan 2008... haha and i am not a genius silly :) i just push the limits to what i think i can do...so in small steps i try something new. you will get the hang of it i promise-- just try and try :)

  • the dog is sooo cute can u show how 2 make it plzzz

  • thanks!there's a better tutorial on it done by Aine2. she's the expert on it so i hope you can check her channel too.

  • cool cake mayen!!!Hope i can make one too!

  • hey..just wanna rite back and say thanks!

  • Wonderfully made cake, Mayen!! All the details are so cute! Too bad some people just miss the point and leave poor taste comments. Thanks for sharing your talent and creativity with us again and again!!

  • This is A W E S O M E!!!!

  • your cakes are always so beautiful.. what tools did you use to make it?

  • thanks-- for the barrel look-- a sharp knife/cutter was used. the other stuff-- dog was just molding it with my hands and using a knife for the paws. regular fondant tools will work

  • Mayen, love your creations....but doesn't it break your heart when it has to be cut!!!!

Question...would you take the creations off in order to cut just the cake....I am an amateur cake decorator and love love love your work!!!!!

  • all the figures will have to be taken out before it gets cut. a really sharp knife is needed bec the fondant will have hardened a bit by cutting time and a dull knife will just make a massacre of it . the cutting is actually my favorite part haha... most of my friends ask me to cut it if i happen to be in the party the cake is for. they dont want to cut it haha :)

  • absolutely totally cool!!!! your modelling details are awesome

  • I love this cake mayen.... Yes! the wood planks look sooo real...

  • Hey Mayen, LOVE LOVE LOVE the cake. I love the way you potrait ripples in the water. I always thought that would be a challenge, but adding those minimal elements made it look so perfect. No less no more just enough to give the idea of water. The wood planks look just perfect. The human figures are funny and I was LOL when I was reading all the previous comments abt the feet. I love the detial in those pair of mysterious feet.

    Another masterpiece by Mayen.

  • I thought the feet were on a kid upside down?

"since it's like microfiber and doesn't reflect any light"

Thank you so much! I have had a heck of a time tryint to find a black "anything" that didn't reflect light. I needed it for photos, oil painting and videos. I never considered microfiber! I am such a happy camper!

    HUG:)

    BOP

  • uhm why dont you show us how you make the cake? instead of showing us the final part of it when its done. its pointless

  • well, as you can see, i hardly has enough time to even show you the cake-- more so showing you all how it was done piece by piece. i do this to give others ideas on diff cake themes. i am not obligated in any way to show "YOU in particular " how i do it.

  • She is showing "us" people her creations like people in the cake decorating community do. Obviously, the purpose of this isn't a tutorial. People like us love seeing other people's creation.

This is NOT NOT NOT a pointless video, if you want tutorials then go watch tutorial videos and not these type of videos.

  • Lol, that is really cute

  • I particularly love the feet. I love the whimsy of it. :)

  • hehe having a kid so close to the cake was making me reeeally nervous.

    looks great :)

  • haha! i almost fainted when he tried to turn the cake-- but i just figured it would be much more difficult to make another clip-- as he was already all over this one... so , thankfully, all he did was turn it... :)

  • I love the feet..lol

  • really awesome cake my friend

  • Stunning as always I had already seen this cake on your flickr and commented there but thought i'd comment here again :)

  • Hi Mayen, Love this cake, the lady in the pool with her feet out of the water is great. Thank you for showing us all of your beautiful cakes.

  • thanks...those are not her feet --haha... i knew it will confuse some people. there are really three people in the pool !

  • Once Again Perfect!!!

  • As usual, another STUNNING, jawdropping, eyepopping cake. I checked my thesaurus and realized that all words synonymous to the word beautiful has already been used on all your cakes =].

The details are well thought of. The handle on the cooler makes a 10/10 figure a 15/10. The splash on the side gave it a cool effect. The human figures as well as the dog are so amazing that toy companies can use it to make their molds. Again, you have blown me away. I'll call the whole world for a thumbs up.

  • yay! thanks for the kind words Rylan ! hugs to you!

  • Hi Mayen! I had left a comment earlier but don't know what happened to it... OK! I LOVE this cake! Awesome job once again! All the details and elements are PERFECT!!! Good job amiga!!! Thank you for including the doggie! "Poopie"! TOO CUTE!!! Thanks for the shout out! :)

  • HEY LAURA!!! Thanks so much for the idea, it's my favorite on this cake. see what we come up with while we are literally halfway across the US :) Im so happy you like it. and yup, my first dog was named Poopie !

  • I LOVE this cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful work!

  • As I am laughing my butt off I am saying, "I loveeee it!" I thought that the "red part" under the arms were "the butt!" LOL I realized after a bit that it wasn't, then I felt like a butt! :D

It showed up really well. What did you film against and on? How did you light it? Please tell me alllllllll your secrets:P lol

    Thanks:)

    BOP

  • you are hilarious BOP! I knew the figures may confuse some... the feet are also confusing since you can always imagine them to belong to either the man or the woman-- but they would have to be aliens to have feet on the other side of the pool :) hahaha

oh-and i use a black microfiber blanket that I put up against my table. i try to take the pics during daytime..somehow the black cloth doesn;t show much since it's like microfiber and doesnt reflect any light.

  • Awesome! visited your web site, keep up the great work =]

  • the detail is incredible!! Good job

  • Very good!

  • THIS IS SO NICE U ARE GOOD GIRL!

  • Fantastic work as always, you are so creative and talented! Awesome
