In what way is this a Sun Salutation? Sun Salutations are designed to INCREASE heat in the body, hence the reason they are done at the beginning of most yoga practices. This sequence is clearly much slower than typical Sun Salutations, especially B. I have seen/heard of this being called Sun Salutation C, but it is more commonly called the Moon Salutation. Look up a Sun Salutation video and you'll notice the difference immediately.
ego yoga hypocrites...take a gander at Denise Austin's yoga vids if you want to see real travesty! I like this site and if I could figure out paypal I'd probably pay! PSTaught Hatha Yoga for 20 years...get over yourself please...
wow, this was very invigorating and warming to the body. the half crescent was great for stretching the hip fluxors. The only critique I have is that we should spend more time in the poses! :)
this sequence does indeed incorporate chandrasana but it is not a moon salutation which contains 14 poses to correspond to 14 lunar cycles you need to study more.Yoga is getting too far from its roots.
look for publications from the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale Penna. These are people practice and teach Raja Yoga. They have some cool old books written in the 50's and 60's. Hope this helps.

@v0larevia this isn't like any sun salutation I have seen. I have never heard of this sequence though.

@pheshstar
true, this is a very unusual sequence to sun salutation, but it's closer to that than moon salutation. which is COMPLETELY different than this one.

Lisa, you should not be teaching. This is not chandra at all. Someone made it up and now you are teaching it. Irresponsible and bad karma.

Lovely visual and directions but with the addition of child's pose, this is Surya Namaskara, Sun Salute. A bit confusing on this front but good job.
