  • still love Lucy in 2012

  • Man, that make-up person made her look like Ronald McDonald's mother. Sadly what worked in 1956 didn't work in 1986.

  • I really like Lucy here however, the supporting cast do not seem very convincing.

  • I wasn't exposed to the genius of I Love Lucy until several years later. I've been watching them again on Hulu lately and it still ruled. And damn she was smoking hot back then too. Had no idea she was like 40 when the show began either. I always thought she was in her early 30s at the most.

  • The problem with this show, in addition to the super shitty supporting cast, are the dad's rapist glasses and general creepy child molester look.

Episode two should have had everyone except Lucy and grandpa die in an earthquake so that the show could have succeeded.

First time I ever saw Lucy was when I was like 7 or so when she did that Three's Company special. Had no idea who she was, later saw an episode or 2 of this show (all I remember was her putting magnets on a computer and ruining it

  • What's wrong with Lucy's voice?

  • @zazozung Years of smoking and drinking scotch, unfortunately. People just didn't quite know how bad all that was for you back when Lucy probably started smoking.

  • Sorry Lucy, but this show sucks the big stick. Ohmygawdafu

Still loved and always will the old I LOVE LUCY series of the 50's.

  • This show wasn't THAT bad....compared to what's on TV today...this is a classic. Ann Dusenberry as Margo, the daughter-in-law overplays her role considerably. Larry Anderson was fine as the son and the children were fine. Lucy .....is always a joy.....this show wasn't THAT bad......come on.

  • please somebody upload all the episodes.

  • Maybe better writing?

  • I miss Lucy.

Man, those cigarettes took a toll on her voice.

  • @papuchongo

Along with the scotch, sadly. She apparently had quite a taste for it, and it really wears on the vocal chords.

  • @papuchongo but she still lived to be 77+ .Oh the lies they've told us.

  • I watched this series and I think Lucy did great, still the same Lucy I always watched growing up, she was still able to manover those stunts at 75 yrs of age, I think it could have made it for at least 4 seasons if the network executives would have given it a chance. I will always laugh at Lucy's slapstick comedy ways, Lucy knew what true comedy was....

  • I can tell why this show bombed. It's def not Lucy.

Does ANYone else notice that the two little kids are actually better actors than their parents!? Now THATS sad!

  • Lucy woulda been great on "The Golden Girls"!

  • I've seen 10 of the 13 taped episodes. They really should've given this show a chance. Poor Lucy deserved better. And Desi was on his deathbed. I heard that Bob and Madelyn wrote funny scripts, but then Aaron Spelling (the producer) re-wrote them making them awful. Lucy was great but the writing was not. However, there were a few funny episodes, like the one with the computer. I don't think LWL would've lasted too long anyway because she had a stroke in May 1988 and died in April 1989.

  • There are strong and plausible theories that, if LWL had gone on to become successful and lasted beyond its first season, Lucille Ball wouldn't have died in April 1989. With the cancellation of LWL and death of Desi Arnaz, both in December 1986, Ms. Ball would soon fall into a profound depression at the start of 1987. Her health having been fine prior to and during the early stages of the depression, Lucy came to a standstill over the next year and a half.

  • (cont'd) She made only a few public appearances during what turned out to be the last two years of her life. This reduction, combined with a shutdown of her physically keeping active and her compromised mental health, undoubtely contributed to her stroke in '88 and final complications in '89. Keeping active is everything when you're approx. 75-80 years old, and it's not unreasonable to say that Lucy, continuing to do what made her happy on a hit show, would have kept her living longer.

  • @VaultMasterDBT Sorry, but Lucy NEVER had a stroke. She was killed by a ruptured aorta.

  • Yes, Lucy had a stroke in 1988, but I didn't say that a stroke killed her.

  • Although it was not one of the best, I would truly prefer this over some of the crap that they pass off as comedy these days! Lucy STILL rules, even though she is gone. RIP Lucille Ball and LONG Live Lucy!

  • please come and watch my new video tribute to Lucille Ball honoring her on her 100th Birthday! and Please Subscribe!

  • Just read that the kid who played the grandson died 6 years ago. Wow.

  • The problem with this show wasn't Lucy. The cast is terrible. The writing is worse.

  • @bcbock agreed. Lucy deserved better. but i did laugh when she busted through the door and started dancing.

  • @bcbock Well Bob and Madelyn wrote 194 I Love Lucy episodes, 156 The LUCY Show episodes, and 144 Here's Lucy episodes... What do you expect? They were all washed up.

  • @cfronck

Actually, Bob & Madelyn only wrote 58 episodes of The Lucy Show (they left after season 2), and came back only part time to Here's Lucy season 3-6. They did not write every episode of those two shows.

  • This reminds me of Mama's Family

  • No wonder why this show bombed. Lucy's silly slapstick approach to comedy might have been popular in the 50s, but in the mid 80s slapstick was dead.

  • her energy was amazing

  • 5 people found the tuna casserole!

    Happy 100th birthday, Lucy!!

  • I have this series but no way to upload the remaining episodes.

  • that applause at 2:30 - the world had been waiting 15 years for Lucy's return sincehere's lucy

  • thank u very much for uploading these. ive always wanted to see life with lucy.

  • Wouldn't it be fun if they had Desi back after all these years? That's what leads to good ratings!

  • Gale Gordon and Lucille Ball reunited 12 years after Here's Lucy went off the air.

  • I have never seen Life with Lucy...thank you so much traod8.

  • i dont know i forgot
