Sharpe James was too cheap to pay for his own cable. He demanded he get cable FREE.
He made it so difficult for the cable company, they finally caved in and let James have free cable.

Christie thinks he is above the law. What is in his closet? Remember Eliot Spitzer in the same capacity over the years in NY. James is not an angel and he thought these things would never catch up to him.

I probably could have hit James harder than I did, but I figured, why bother? He's not worth the energy. History will be his judge, and one more Republican on a soapbox doesn't make much difference. In retrospect, the one thing I wish I had mentioned was that - of the obvious millions that James seems to have tucked away as demonstrated by his lifestyle - he has ended up humiliated for a paltry $10,000 a year worth of movie tickets and vacations. Pathetic.

You let that hack Leroy Jones spin this nonsense about the 40th anniversary of the riots is laughable. Cory Booker ran against this guy and was accused of being "white" and Jewish!

nacount, I don't recall saying I was "afraid to speak up". The US Attorney said it pretty clearly. Sharpe James has made his bed, and if LeRoy chose to try to help him unmake it, so be it - I'd rather let the public judge for themselves.

Leroy Jones is full of crap. Everyone in Newark knows that James was corrupt, his indictment wasn't "just an accusation" and had his machine not been able to bring in the black votes during his mayoral terms he'd have been indicted long ago.
