A policy appearing "socialist" doesn't necessitate it being a bad policy. In this case, giving money to poor countries with the mandate that they develop green energy is entirely self-interested. This isn't a case of giving to the poor, it's about giving the poor the ability to not screw over everyone else.

And really, grow up. "Distribution of wealth" doesn't even make sense. Wealth is distributed when anybody gets a paycheck. I mean comon, think about it.

Did you even read my post? A "socialist" policy can include the government managed roads, medicare, and public schools. That's why I said "necessitate" as it's possible, though not necessary, for all political systems to be abused in some form.

That's why they're considering a staggered payment plan where the countries invest using American collateral. If the countries don't invest in the right things the collateral is removed and the country is settled with a debt.
