doesn't ANYONE think adam pascal sounds different in the movie than he does in 1996 OBC? i mean he's hitting all the right notes, but it sounds like he's using a different part of his throat. it kind of reminds me of some of the notes you can hit in both your head and chest voice. cause right now he doesn't sound as deep but he's not hitting the wrong notes.

is this the original broadway production? i saw the cast with anthony rapp and adam pascal that is touring right now, and the blocking and staging was totally different, but i never saw it on broadway. they also used more props in the tour (coats, etc). Its interesting to see how shows have evolved

no, this is the RENT 10th anniversary on Bradway. they brought back the original cast and put on a more casual concert/performance.

This was just a concert the original cast put on, on the tenth anniversary of Rent's opening. They got together and did a very simple run through of the show to celebrate its tenth year on Broadway. They did a similar thing for the fifth anniversary as well i believe.

You should look up "Rent opening night 1996 Christmas Bells" and watch that vid. The quality is kind of... eh... cuz of how old it is, but you can see how it was staged in the original production :)

No matter how long I wonder about things, Jesse and Wilson's chemistry almost seems too real. If you notice during most of Rent 10, Idina and Fredi, and Adam and Daphne kind of fool around in their roles, but Wilson and Jesse take every oppertunity! Hah! The love is so believeable, even in a situation liek this. They should get together already! Their cuteness is too painful. Ps. Chistmas Bells is such a bomb song, fabulous, like a symphony. Too bad it couldn't be worked into the movie. D=

Okay, so during the beginning Collins gets mugged and loses his coat, correct? Well, the coat that got stolen was given to the vendor who sells them here. And, not knowing it's Collins' coat, shows it to him to see if he wants to buy it. Collins is outraged upon realizing this and Angel tries to get it for only 15 dollars, and succeeds. Collins is upset because he shouldn't have to pay for his coat that was stolen from him.
