The 360s red ringed because of cold solder joints, not because of thermal paste. The processor heating up actually helps the thermal paste because it needs time to 'burn in'. After it burns in, it becomes more conductive and heat transfers from the heatspreader to the heatsink more efficiently.

No its a good idea..... make sure though everone when you turn off your xbox make sure you unplug the power cable..... cuz the power coming from the brick has to go somewhere and it will sometimes over heat one of the processing chips in the xbox because no matter what there is power flow going to the chip and if the fans are off :( your screwed.... i finally figured out thats what happend to my 360

A lot of people say here and there that the 360 overheats and get the RRoD. I know a lot have but some or a lot of people don't know Microsoft modified the 360 where it doesn't overheat anymore. I don't need an Intercooler anymore and I always get cool air blowing out of the back with hours of use.

Hey, you mod is not very effective. True effectness is my mod. All your doing is putting fans over fans. If a fan is running slower than the overlapping fans, there will be a more resistance than need. IF you mod the 360's fans by disconnecting the fan's power source from the mobo, then connecting them to a 16v external power source, you can get a 150-300% increase in overall airflow and cooling.

Pretty much, if you turn off your xbox with gears already in the xbox, when you turn it back on and load it up, within like 10 - 30 mins you'll get the error.

I don't know why, but an easy way to fix this (for me atleast) was to just take out the CD when I was done with the game. Or, which this also worked; you can leave the CD in the xbox, but when you turn on the xbox and you're at the dashboard, just open the tray and close it.

heres a simple and cheap way to keep it cool its really effetive first when u buy a 360 get a extended warenty or ur screwed, second if u have regular fans at home just place a small one buy ur console and turn it on works great cheap easy effective smart!
