I dont recall the script being that poor....it seemed hilarious 30 years ago! I must say, what a professional Stu Francis was getting through that rubbish!!
Was it Jimmy The Hoover? It looked like the singer, sounded as crap as him and he wore a jacket like that when the band were on TOTP playing the god awful Tantalise. That is on Youtube so watch it and weep at the dreadfulness.
This was the first use of the "Gunge Tank" in the history of Television. Not Gunge, but the Gunge drop tank. And Francis was either thick as shit during Take A Chance or the visual effects guys didn't like him, because he was gunged every week!!!
Someone PLEASE upload a few episodes of the francis Era!
@rainbowpride76 lol Poor Victoria, she must have got fed up with his fish bowel glasses hogging the bed of a night time, as for Stu i could crush a grape, bet he turned into a alcoholic after all that grape crushing he did, looking back now this show sucks, as a kid loved it, but now oh dear lol
@womblediehard I know exactly what you mean. When I was five I thought Stu Francis and his 'Ooo I could crush a grape' was the best thing ever.. Still great memories though =)
Ha ha, Adam Ant's phone number! I remember Julie, but not Sarah. A stunning blonde called Leigh Miles was one of the female assistants for 2 series. I can recall that in one season of the show, Keith Harris kept alternating with the Great Soprendo as guest star, week by week.
That Nick Heyward was possibly the most beautiful male popstar I've ever seen; I was just a little too young to appreciate that, at the time.
Isn't Stu Francis now living and working under the name "Vernon Kaye"?The actor who plays Dev in Corrie seems to have based the character on The Great Suprendo.
Lol, that little musical fanfare as The Great Suprendo walks out on stage, I'd love that to accompany me everytime I arrived somewhere. I'd never ever tire of it. XD
oooohhhhhhh, I could fuck a fairy.

They should use the question as i.d, to see if you're old enough to buy alcohol etc:
Ask them It's Friday, it's five to five, time for........?
And if they don't answer Crackerjack!! they're not old enough to buy the items!
