The entire time I watched this video all I could think of was how a person doing this in the US would be thrown to the ground and possibly Tased or Pepper sprayed. Hugging a policeman would get an American arrested for assault and probably severely roughed up.

In America if a policeman tells you to do something even if you have a right to do it and you refuse, you are committing a crime. This behavior has been upheld by the courts many times.
