last week I watched a show called "I shouldn't be alive" where a group of 7 people including 3 boy scouts were hiking on a very hot day. They ran out of water and became dehydrated and exausted. They finally made it down to the river where one of the boys happened to encounter 2 doctors rafing. Unfortunately, the doctor wasn't able to save one of the boys life. Everyone else survived

@davinp thats an awsome show actually, i enjoy that one a lot and i dont watch a lot of stuff on tv anymore, theres another one called i survived, one has to do with animals, like a lady fell down a cliff and the dog got help, stuff like that

I used to work in mountain rescue in California. Unfortunately, I have no memory of it b/c of the car accident that wiped it clean. I remember only what I've relearned, and that doesn't include mountain rescue. I like it better than water rescue.

I lived in California with my husband and daughter, the best time span of my life.

Nice, I saw this segment in early '95 when it first aired, there was also something on Inside Edition (or one of those news programs) talking about it as well.

Kinda neat how the kids ditching school indirectly saved the girls' lives. :)
