Right then, I'd be happy to clear up the ignorance. First of all, I never suggested anything regarding people who "have" to come here- it's obvious many do. I was referring to the common goal many have about moving here to take advantage of many things- be it a career move, and the chance to capture some of the opportunity that's here for success. I never quoted a "figure", or numbers, you suggested that I did. Unless you're taking my comment about "half the world".

It wasn't meant literally, it was a phrase I used to capture the seemingly endless influx of newcomers to NYC, and I'm not referring to refugees. It's obvious you have some issues with the US Government- so do we. Many things are kept quiet, or yes, lied about; show me a government that's not guilty of that. Some people believe this is the best place for them, some stay, some leave- it's not an easy place to live.

The really ignorant factor here, is the tired, old, ideas about lack of personal hygiene, and uncared for teeth- people need to move on. What started out as my sincere enjoyment and appreciation of british comedy, turned into a thread of mean spirited barbs, that quite frankly I find it distracting and irrelevant.
