hello technologyguide which x60 is this can you reply with model. can you post or email me the drivers for the finger touch screen please? thanks for your help in advance.
I have this laptop running on windows 7, but i cant seem to get the touch(finger) function working, if anyone knows how to do this please let me know, thanks!
@Pikey1517 the basic functionality is easy - you can find some older drivers for dual touch for vista on Lenovo driver page, but beware - pen WON'T have pressure sensitivity, and there's no official driver for this. I spend 2 day searching for solution, until I found somewhere hacked Fujitsu drivers combined with driver for Wacom bamboo... google around for fujitsu wacom drivers for lenovo :)
Hi, does anyone know whether you must 'poke' the screen with your fingernails to get the touchscreen activated? or do you not need to use your fingernails? Please answer if you have the answer (lmao) asap THANKS!
I've had this laptop for 3 yrs this is the best laptop I' ve ever had. the touchscreen is for when you want to turn it into a tablet and take notes. There is a pen for you to use if you need it.
This is very very useful for engineering students & medical students. It even has a voice activation option to type what is being lectured, and a built in microphone too. This came out in 2006, I don't remember iphones then.
@britrb32 i have the non-tablet version of the X60. dumped my AMD x2 desktop about 2 weeks after i got this, its an awesome little laptop. 7200 RPM hard drive in mine
me too!!! im kinda leaning toward the tablet cuz i really like it, but my sister's about to go to college and needs a laptop and wants a mac, and we're definitely not gonna get both
tazatriste asked if it has a multi-touch feature... to play with images with 2 fingers, like iPhone (right?).
And that's not windows's work -.-' thats a feature of the screens. I actually don't know if this lenovo has that (i'm thinking of buying one too) but if I find out, i'll let you know tazatriste :)
The answer is: no it does not. Multi-touch in this context simply means one can touch it with the stylus and a finger (though I'm not quite satisfied with the latter). This is most definitely not a multi-touch/multi-user screen.

You'd rather use the stylus within the laptop, if you'll scratch with your fingernails it will be damaged way faster.
