Just by chance today (6-30-2010) I came across an article on BBC America's website ... "France's new medieval castle," by Hugh Schofield, discussing this very project.
What a great undertaking by these industrious folks in Guedelon.
Among several other destinations in Europe, I will be visiting the Burgundy region
this fall. This site will now be a priority "must see" stop.

La visite ne ressemble à aucune autre et est unique au monde,sans électricité tout est fait sur place, les conversations avec les compagnonsqui travaillent sur le chantier.
Sowas in Deutschland zu bauen wär bestimmt auch toll. Deutschland ist mindestens genauso voll mit geschichtsträchtigen Burgen wie Frankreich. Die Leute dort kehren zu etwas ursprünglichem zurück, was man im Leben vielleicht wieder bräuchte und in D. ebenfalls.
