the 03-04 cobra drive train is killer.the rear end is I.R.S.Not good for drag racing.but good road track racing.the engine is 450hp at fly wheel.engine is awesome. but the damn car is too heavy.the 2003 or 2004 mach 1's are bad little rides.they are just a little slower than svt supercharged cobra's.they got straight axel rears.good for drag.get a new automatic 05 and up GT with straight axel rear and put a turbo on it.wont lose boost between shifts.
I never got it fixed. Ford told me to basicly fuck off. I did however find a motor. It is a stock 4.6L and it has 550 miles on it. It came out of a rolled 2008 Stang. I got it for 2300 after shipping. Another $1500 and it will be in. I have the $2300 and I am buying it. Another month and i will have the $1500
I have a SIngle STS AR68 Turbo on my 2007 GT. I had not Dyno'd it yet but I blew the engine at 19k miles last year. I plan on putting on the other turbo and going Twins on a Brand New Fully Forged 4.6L Capable of 700+ Horse Power

i blew mine too with the single sts turbo at 18 psi oops. but got a new motor from ford. for free waranty. now i keep it at 6psi maybe 7
