1 Tim 2:12 "But I suffer not a women to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."
Luke 8:13 "They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away."
Paul lists several women who struggled beside him in the work of the gospel. In Acts 18:25-26, both Priscilla and her husband Aquila take Apollos aside to instruct him on baptism. Priscilla is obviously involved in teaching a man here.
Personally,I believe women can witness and preach but they should not have spiritual authority (to be ordained as priest in the Sacrament of Holy Orders) inside church.
@ExAtheist7 All I did was quote scripture.. I would be weary of any preacher if they're a millionaire and own a private jet. How much money have you given towards her ministry? Bought any of her books? Do you know anyone that would visit the poor, make people smile, laugh & sell them books for millions of dollars? Yeah...the Gospel is free. Jesus Christ does not want our money, he wants us to repent of our sins, and have a personal relationship with him. It's all about Jesus, not Joyce.
Yes some preachers use the gospel as a resource of money and their own entertainment but who are we to condemn others?. Do you know hearts of men?. Only God can..yes gospel is free but the service also needs money...It's totally wrong for preachers to concentrate on telling people to donate for their ministry but on the other hand what they get of money is not our concern..it's a gift from God to them..the problem is not in the gift but in how to use this gift to glorfiy God.
