@CinemaMinecraft500 The vocal folds are tissue, like skin. The normal appearance of healthy vocal folds is a white/pearly white appearance. If they looked red, for example, it would mean the vocal folds were infected, like in laryngitis.
@Username083192 The vocal folds are amazingly resilient and durable. Theya are amazing structures, but when used properly, there is little risk of damage.
@Aldenif The vocal folds close and the esophagus opens to allow food to go to the stomach. If thsi did not happen, the food would go right into the lungs
Its between true folds and false folds (dont know if u also say that way in english) : it s just a space between them; however, in this video i dont really appreciate it
why are the vocal cords white
CinemaMinecraft500 4 months ago
@CinemaMinecraft500 They are white because of scant blood circulation.

I'm so scared to make any high pitched noises now... it looked like the vocal folds were gonna explode

So when one swallows food and liquids, does it pass through the vocal chords or do they go down a totally separate path??

i see an interarytenoid bar there, did she had reflux?
sistagirl488deleted 1 year ago
@sistagirl488deleted
Pretty good observation. yes, she did have reflux. She is a vocal performer, wilth likely laryngeal pharyngeal reflux.

is that the esophagus gting biggger when notes get higher, etc?
enchanteDREAMer01 1 year ago
@enchanteDREAMer01 No, the vocal folds get longer when she produces higher notes. The esophagus is at the back, but it only opens when swallowing.

Nice take on the American National Anthem! Being a singer can be hard yet at the same time fun!

Interesting I know where the adam's apple is but you can't really see it close from the inside because most of it is on the outside....
never really grasped the concept of sound as a kid having autism so for me it's like a baby learning

This is amazing. That something so apparently simple plays such a visible role in the voice. Very cool.

Yes, it's a flexible scope passed through the nose. The scope itself does not affect speaking or singing when it is passed through the nose.
joanofarc666 2 years ago
do they put it up her nose, i dont understand how she can sing with that thing shived down her throat.
Davisbigboy976 2 years ago
