  • If it works for you. Great. My nutritional background has lead to another approach if you want to get healthy: Avoid modern fruits and sweet vegetables (sweet corn, sweet peas, sweet beans, sweet potatoes, sweet yams etc). Find foods that are closer to their wild cousins and eat more protein and this will be closer to the diet with which we evolved. Google weightlosswithsuperfoods and see how I did it.

  • Nigel Dude

  • NK

  • If they're only drinking juice surely they have no protein in their diet and are risking muscle deterioration, brittle bones and the body closing down growth of hair, nails and regeneration of cells.

  • NIGEL

  • Nigel!

  • NKA

  • Work really good :)

  • here because of Nigel.

  • I suffer from compulsive over eating, i wonder if this could work for me ?

  • @toddkrump dude u should try it!

  • I watched a co-worker try this for a few months. I could see the difference after 2 weeks. He lost weight and had tons of energy. I am looking forward to making changes and living healthier!

  • He wasn't sick from eating meat I am sure. Its called over-eating.

  • Joe looks freaking awesome. gotta watch this, thanks

  • Now watched the full film, thanks Yvonne Stahovski, given me inspiration to get the weight back down!

  • Надо есть домашнюю еду, и мясо обязательно, и вино и водку, тогда с таким аперитивом не разжиреешь

  • I think the guy at 4:35 said urethra moment. Lol

  • I came here because of Yvonne Strahovski. But don't like this cause I'm not a like-whore

  • im here cuz of yvonne :)

  • Came here because of Yvonne Strahovski.

  • @mylifeisonfire me too... if the goddess said, it does matter

  • Looks fit compared to me....im fucked

  • @vanded No, you just have to do something about it. Like, now.

  • this is day one ok iam going give this a try.. now going runing for 35mins

  • Doing Aussies proud!

  • Started combination of juicing and tuna with rice cakes - Feel really good after each juice so goes to show that I wasn't getting the nutrients with my current diet...and the tuna/rice cakes makes my hunger pangs go away - Lost 5 pounds in 3 days...Love it!

  • True = we live obese lifestyles...

False = we need to juice.

This is just another weight loss/health fad. This and others will work for those lacking motivation, and with money to spend. Instead, toughen your resolve and live healthy for free: eat better, eat less, exercise, get off the couch, slow your pace and try to enjoy life!

  • @lamorlayefrance lacking motivation lets rethink that comment a little you need massive motivation to juice fast for 60 days, and the health fad bit these got of meds on this diet and have stayed of them fool

  • @lamorlayefrance hey everyone is different your dirty sanchez

  • There are some people in this trailer that weren't in the documentary. What happened to them?

  • @PandaBaby51 bananas have fiber or there are fiber bars.

  • Mentioned this film in my vlog the other day. I ate like garbage the night before and felt like garbage in the morning. In serious need of a reboot!! Thanks Joe.

  • Saw the film. Bought a juicer, lost weight by juicing for my evening meal only...painlessly! 11lbs in about 2 weeks. The thing is, my body doesnt crave food like I used to.. as I'm getting a lot more nutrients than I ever did. Thanks Joe!

  • how much is a juicer? Anyone know?

  • @Caitlinalyn You will have to spend some money to get a good one. The better the juicer the more juice you get. I went through three juicers before I bought a Breville Ikon. I paid $199.00 for it at Bed Bath and Beyond.

  • My husband and i watch the movie and the next day we bought a juicer, but i need help on what to mix to do the detox can anyone help me .

  • Comment removed

  • @basilon26 There is a guy on YT call Life Regenerator. He makes some crazy juice stuff!

  • Saw this last night and started juicing today... Thank you, Joe!! I got my 1976 Acme Juicerator off the shelf, went shopping and started... I love the Mean Green drink.. I think the lemon and apple takes the bitter edge off the kale. My BP is higher than it should be, my doc started reading me the riot act, my cholesterol is high, I have GERD, take pills for depression... I am totally stoked after seeing the documentary!!!

  • I am going to start on feb 1st with joe. He is begining a new fast. Wish me luck, I need it and my high bp nds it. bc these doctors just want to stuff u with pills and i nd to controll whats going into my mouth. Im scared but i can do it.

  • one of the many films i'm sharing with family members, in an effort to help them help themselves. thanks for making it.

  • I like steak

  • I like steak.

  • I saw the doc. about 6 wks ago. I knew I didn't have the will-power to juice 100% of the time for 60 days, I did know I could replace one meal a day with juicing. While I've been a mostly healthy eater I was feeling like crap, at 46 I had 20 extra pounds around my waste, a number of symptoms of fibromyalgia and diabetes and little to no energy. After just 4 wks I'm feeling SO much better. Hair is fuller, nails are stronger, 5 lbs gone, energy back, mental clarity back. AMAZING. Thanks!!

  • @CLester772 ..make that WAIST :)

  • Ellen White, the Prophetess of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, had written that people should have the original diet given to man as stated in Genesis 1:23 which is vegetarian. Whole Grains, Nuts, Legumes, Vegetables, Fruits. Start out with Fruits and Vegetables to cleanse your body of toxins and unwanted fat. Then graduate to the "Daniel Diet". Daniel the prophet ate a "pulse" vegetarian diet and was 10 times healthier and wiser than the heathen in Babylon, and able to understand prophecy.

  • @claudiamthompson I like what all you have wrote here for sure!!! We all gotta inspire people to do these things, cause it is so worth it!

  • This whole freakin' thing is bankrolled by Breville, & also never mentioned is the guy's real motivation, which is no doubt hooking you up with (paying for) his "wellness programs", which will, also no doubt, include you buying a Breville juicer, as well as volumes of various & sundry "support materials". This guy's aim is to be the biggest fad diet "preacher" who's ever come down the pike, & like Bakker & Swaggert before him, Cross's real motivation isnt "God", or "health", it's huge bucks.

  • @bohnstube OK...I just saw this film the other night, and couldnt help but think exactly what you are saying here. Do you know this to be true?

  • @dproblemisu "Know this to be true"? Nope, I don't, just using common sense. Along w/ a healthy amount of skepticism coming from the standpoint of this guy (if indeed events unfolded the way he contends they did), one has to wonder in a calm, subjective, and completely detached moment from his situation, just what came first, getting himself healthy, or hatching a plan to make beaucoup bucks selling false hopes via his corporate contacts in his professional world of high finance.

  • @bohnstube And hey, if it pulls one person back from a real brink of death or the near total destruction of their lives, then hey, that's great. I just want people to discuss this guy's methods w/ their own health professionals & a certified dietitian hooked up w/ a real medical facility, to give candidates of this body shock of a lifestyle change the real story of what it's really going to involve before they get too involved w/ something neither their bodies nor their wallets can handle.

  • Most "certified dieticians" and "real medical facilities" don't believe in REALLY healthy eating. Look at the pitiful food pyramid and how many times it has been "revamped" to accomplish NOTHING.

  • @JulieDWallis Be that as it may or may not be, your YT channel emphasizes: 1) REALITY 2) REALISTIC goal setting & strategies for reaching them & 3) DOESN'T PROMISE THE RIDICULOUS or make dubious (at best, & dangerous at worst) health claims based on diet fads that appear & reappear to the public's consciousness every few years, based on splashy, big budget Hollywood-style productions at "film festivals". To me, any "program" that preaches extremism such as this video does is best avoided.

  • @bohnstube Well said.

  • I have never been over weight. BUT I have been fooling myself with this perspective that I am healthy merely because I am not fat. I think that every one should consider alkalizing and detoxifying as PREVENTATIVE health care as opposed to reactive suppression through western medical PRACTICE. I am not going to wait until I get fat, diabetic, hypoglycemic, or worse... "OH well it's so expensive to buy healthy food."

What's more expensive, food or hospital?

  • I was going to get the OMEGA 8005, but doesn't do fruits very well, only leafs So I was looking for a Juicer that can do both. Bed Bath and Beyond have the Ikon model for $199, perfect for Vegetables and Fruits, since you can interchange the speed. Well worth it!

  • where can i purchase a juicer?

  • @bkong94 I got mine on Amazon. I got the Breville Juice fountain for $99

  • I'm a healthy, skinny fit white guy - I do try and eat healthy, and _try_ to have at least 1 fresh juice or even a glass of water with lemon juice every day.

I only wish my less fortunate friends who are overweight, diabetic, or something else, would understand they don't have to be that way. some of them are aware of this info, but they don't change anything. Sometimes I wish i was fat and sick so I could become healthy and prove to them that it works.

  • I have been looseing weight by cutting back but still wasn't feeling good. I just saw the documentary of this clip and I am going to start this weekend. I am so excited I can't wait. Please say a prayer for me.

  • Really liked this, will have to see the whole film soon!

  • I bought a Breville the day after Christmas. Interestingly I didn't see this or hear about Joe untill a coiuple of weeks later. I feel better, clearer, losing body fat, waist size and my blood sugar is maintaining more balanced levels and I have begun to reduce medication for type 2 diabetes. Don't hesitate and even if you are not Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead start juicing before you are!

  • Just ordered our Breville last night online. I couldn't be more excited! I really want to get started and get healthier!

  • so proud of you! Juicing & taking superfoods changed my life as well. I even started my own company to spread the word about preservative free foods & organic supplements! Live on!

  • wouldnt u get the shits???

  • @jeffallenht it's a natural detox so yeah but after the first few days of getting all the crud out of your body, you'd have a healthy bowel movement.

  • How do we pick out a juicer?

which model is quick & simple?

  • @kep67 you should try the hamilton beach big mouth juicer. its a good juicer starter

  • Not exactly sold on this, it would work if you are really obese like the individuals shown but you lose out on all the fiber when you juice.

  • Great movie, always a good inspiration when trying to eat healthy.

  • I have a question. How do you get protein when juicing?

  • @jetsetcruz2 Dark Leafy Greens= Protein

  • @jetsetcruz2 If I'm not mistaken dark green veggies have protien.

  • 1:13.

    Just.... 1:13.

  • I like the false sense of piety @lodengreeneyes gives off.....not.

  • @jhamlin726 LOL, You don't understand the definition of "piety" - "false" or otherwise.

    ~ Susan

  • Work slower and do less nutrient damage than the high speed juicers. You can also store your slow pressed juice up to 72 hours and they are way quieter in the morning if you don't want to wake everyone up. Started my 100 day diet 5 days ago.

  • I purchased an omega vert 350 masticating juicer so I can do wheatgrass. These styles

  • How much money is Joe Cross making from his self-promoting documentary? Why did he come to America to go on his documented juice fast? Why not do it in Australia (or whereever he is from - New Zealand?). This is a money-making fad.

  • @lodengreeneyes Right. But I prefer this compared to all the crap that's out there. Way to go, mate. And by that I am referring to Joe.

  • @lodengreeneyes america is more interesting when it comes to food thats why he went there so he could preach to people such as phil staples

  • @lodengreeneyes who doesnt want to make money, y not be entitled to, he mad money and helped out 2 people who had problems in the process, also himself, without those two their wouldnt even be a movie... besides that, sounds like a good business idea, you would of done the same thing

  • @JoeBlow914 No, I would have had the integrity to stay in Australia or whereever he's from. ~ Susan

  • @lodengreeneyes America is the fattest nation. I believe he came here to help Americans. I am sooo glad he did. I had heard is this before, but never saw it work on a show. Thank you Joe!!!

  • @SHER7067 LOL, well you can "believe" what you choose. It seems clear to me Joe came to America to make money off of some gullible Americans who are looking for diet fads instead of sensible eating plans to lose weight. ;-)

  • @lodengreeneyes I don't eat meat any way. So I am only cutting out pasta, cheese, milk. Also it is not a fad. This has been around for a long time. I received a Juicer back in 1990 as a gift from a family member and forgot I had it. So this is nothing new. Just to you. Please google Jack Lalanne.

  • @SHER7067 You claim to own a juicer for 22 years but "forgot". Perhaps it's you who needs to "google Jack Lalanne"....you may be able to find free copies of his diet plans that he and his wife provide with his juicer. I said nothing about pasta, cheese, milk, meat ect - you brought it up to me. The best way to eat veggies and fruits is as close to their natural state as possible. Fresh raw or lightly steamed. A no brainer and sensible. And, you'll save money.

  • very inspiring. I would do both juicing and blending (Vitamix or Blentec) to get the fiber. When you juice, you are extracting the fiber and need to drink it much faster to avoid losing too many nutrients.

    Great movie though!!

  • "I look like i've swallowed a sheep" Bwaha ha ha ha ha ...That line is Hilarious. I bought the dvd. Absolutely awesome !

  • I would love to see a fat,sick,and nearly dead part 2 the up-date

  • I use a blender to get the pulp and bulk, also add Tumeric and black pepper.

Lots of Spinach, Tomato & Brocolli as my mains in it. But I might get a juicer and try it. Cause the blender pulp gets a bit shitty.

  • This movie inspired my fiancee and I to buy a juicer. She likes to mix cucumbers, celery, kiwi and apples; it tastes really good and rich with nutrients. I lost 35 pounds by juicing, working out and I eat solid foods too but much smaller and healthier portions.

  • Is there an accompanying book with this video or is there just the video? Also, very importantly, I don't know which juicer to buy, Joe recommends Breville which is fine but there are so many different types I don't know which one to get....and I want one that doesn't waste alot of the food by the pulp. I have been juicing for years but I hate seeing so much food wasted in the pulp, especially the skin which is one of the most important parts.

  • @fluffybunny451

Hi, just thought i would add to your comment. I have also been taught that the fibre is where the goodness is(in the pulp) and the juice alone is in fact bad for you as the sugar content is very high.

  • @bigluke001 I watched the full show. You can do the juicing for 10, 20, days then start eatting cooked veggies. Just get rid of the meats and animal products.

  • i've been on this for 5 days and have already lost 8 pounds... it's hard to do but it works. :)

  • Comment removed

  • is was so good so i decided to fallow his shoes and see how it goes and i had to buy the juiger vegatbale and fruit

  • Losing weight Raw foods inch by inch is chinch.

  • @skinnyb8888 I'm soo happy it is working for you! I have Lyme disease and everyone with Lyme says we need to detox all the time. I'm starting tomorrow after I go to the store. I am praying for you.

  • I have M.S. 40 yr old male. Got diagnosed 2 yrs ago. Felt like ass all the time. I started juciing and drinking monavie hard... every day, several times a day. 2 yrs later, NO new lesisions and no meds. I feel good... not great but SO much better.

  • MSG in all its forms is a major contributor to obesity, and diabetes, it causes a hyper- pancreatic response that can dump up to 5 times the insulin into the system. 1 dorito chip is enough to cause this effect, once the body starts to train a response to the MSG, diabetes could occur with either a hyper or hypo response.

  • there's a few people/scenes in this trailer that i don't remember seeing when I watched the movie. anyone know if there's an extended cut

  • Organic Local GrassFed MURDER is still unhealthy for you

  • What does this do to your metabolism? When you start eating solid foods again, what will happen?

  • Grass fed organic beef and chicken and wild fish is excellent to eat. The problem is the GMO Monsanto corn syrup in everything processed or even things you don't know its in. The GMO foods, the vaccines, the drugs from Big Pharma are what combine to kill people.

  • Great Idea - just curious as to where you got your protein from during those 60 days?

  • @cvt2000 Dark leafy greens is where you get most of your protein on a raw diet. Spinach, Kale, Cabbage, etc. are all filled with lots of premium quality proteins ;)

  • It looks like netflix is not available in Australia.

Is there any way to get this on DVD?

...I fell sick with a nasty virus just a few weeks after we first changed to a raw diet (got it from a friend). All I could stomach was green smoothies (victoria boutenko style) and that's all I needed. After about 10 days I'd recovered from the flu-virus + I was 10kg lighter. I put back 5kg pretty quickly to balance out but in the end I discovered you can get by with just green smoothies & juices.

  • It looks like netflix is not available in Australia.

Is there any way to get this on DVD?

  • where is the link to your site? Youtube allows you to post a URL in the description. You'd sell more if you had the link.

  • quote from father in restaurant: let me ask you a question, say this works, say it adds.. 5 years to your life maybe 10, what you gonna do with it? seriously, seriously.. facepalm

  • @chooktco it's not about just adding years on your life. It's about having a higher quality of life while you're on this earth. sickness and obesity hinders our quality of life drastically.

  • Thanks Joe!

  • Umm wait... so if we don't get all nutrients from processed food, then we can still eat it along with multivitamins and get everything we need, right?

  • @Gustavs933 foods that affect your health negatively will still bring harm to you. Eliminating the bad is just as important as taking in the good. Plus, if losing weight is also a goal, then the high caloric density of processed foods will stop you from being able to do that.

  • So glad to have Netflix. Family and I randomly watched this doc and it's changed us forever! Time to get down to business!!!

  • I just finished watching this documentary and am so inspired to try this. Going to try and get my husband to go on it with me cause he has Uncerative colitis and I am wondering if it will help him get it under control.

  • I've watched this documentary and the guy at 2:46 and the David Morse lookalike at 2:54 weren't in it.

  • I'm on day 2 of my juice fast. I want the toxins out of my body! Thanks for inspiring me, Joe.

  • Haha wait a second, this is totally off topic but I have to say it. I'm in the US Army and the guy at 1:14 is wearing a Special Forces green beret and is obviously not in the military...IMPOSTER!

  • OH MY GAWD. you mean eating non shitty food that makes you hungry again and makes you feel shite in a hour isn't good for you? hmmm they may have something goin for them! lol im just kidding. i wanna do the juice stuff. my parents wouldn't allow it tho. haha

  • gerson therapy?

  • I liked the beginning, but then he starts advertising this juicing diet? People need to remember the original meaning of DIET which is what you eat on a daily basis of your LIFE! What would happen after the juice phase? They'd just start eating fresh fruits and veggies? Not me, in fact I tried diets like this before and after I was done all I wanted to do was eat greasy foods. Maybe I'm not the typical result, but I think you need to change your lifestyle, not just diet for 30 days or what not.

  • @Weezerlover94 People think about diet and associate it with eating 2 peas a day or some similar stupid shit. You have to be well fed, you can't starve yourself, the objective is for you to be as performant as you possibly can by having every nutriment and vitamin your body needs, and to do that you need to eat. You often see people trying to take shortcuts, trying to lose 50 lbs in 2 weeks. Take it slowly. You can still go and enjoy some pizza, burgers and fries, just can't live off of it.

  • @PekenoDre I completely agree with you, but I've tried those types of juice diets but I didn't feel balanced at all, I felt angry and sad. I finally just decided that i love food too much and just decided to exercise and everything was completely balanced out. (I know exercise should have been a NO DUH thing, but it took me a while to realize). I like thinking of your body as a sports car though, haha. To tell the truth I'm not sure if your defending this diet or not but I never felt that

  • @PekenoDre "Balanced" out feeling on any of those juice diets (I've tried a lot) or any just "healthy" food diets either. I tried just eating healthy foods with my sister before for about 2 months and she felt great but I found myself going into a depression, I wasn't enjoying anything in those 2 months.

  • It's the awakening like this that is scarying the elites. Because once our health is regained, our minds return and we are not easily deceived as before...

  • America is the Grease Center of the World! :'( unfortunately. People u need to get ur lazy asses up and make a difference!

  • Great wait to get rid of all of the fiber.

  • This is not healthy eating! First of all, you strip nutrients from fruits and vegetables when you run them through a juicer (better to eat them whole). Secondly, the body needs a certain amount of protein and carbs to effectively burn calories. if you follow this crazy diet, it is going to be a matter of time before you either gain the weight back or knock your hormones out of wack! there are no quick fixes in life! Just learn to eat right, exercise, and be healthy!

  • @BestLena this is meant to look incredible and awesome so they skip on the side effects part ... how typical. Similar diets are known to cause cancer >_>

  • @nikodem123asdf I think maybe you should do a little research on that! Try looking for a new documantary called: Forks over knives

  • @BestLena EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING! Dieting is insane and doesn't make sense! Maybe eating or drinking a certain food for x number of days will help some people start eating better afterwards but I'm pretty sure most would just slowly go back to doing what they did before.

  • @Weezerlover94 No, there is some pretty retarded diets out there. But a legit diet can affect you more than you can imagine. Think about your body as you would of a sports car, whatever you put in it, will make you run faster, smoother and longer. Your body will be chemically balanced, physically and mentally, that's an aspect people forget, your brain functions better. Once you've felt that, you will not want to go back.

  • i was eating mcdonalds while watching this... lol

  • My cousin, who was overweight, lost 30 lbs in 10 days. He showed me the movie, and a month later I started the 10 day reboot. I went down from 218 to 195 lbs. in that time! I've now adopted a healthier lifestyle where I juice twice a day and eat a meal for the third meal of the day, and I continue to lose a pound or two a week. I haven't felt this good in so long! Thanks Joe Cross!

  • hmm i was eating doritos while watching this..but im skinny anyways

  • So is this out yet..? Where can i watch it..?

  • @AlTyler138 You can watch it on Netflix.

  • By far THE best documentary film (or any film for that matter) I've ever seen that actually changed my life

  • nka ?

  • does this really work????? I have faith in it and all that but idk...kinda nervous. 1 question. do obese people lose more weight than not so big people? for example, does a 350 pound person lose more weight than a 250 pounder???

any success stories?? id really love to hear them! please feel free to email me! im very interested in changing my life! please email me with "fasting succes story" as the subject. tito1991b@yahoo.com

  • @TITO1991B yesss......extremely big people loose weaight way faster......the world fastest man lost a pound like evrry hour if he didnt keep eating..

  • @TITO1991B Yes they do lose more weight much quicker than a skinnier person . In fact they've been cases that when they lose the weight - like they're obese, the fat isn't left hanging like when they lose weight the traditional way.

  • @TITO1991B Check out the Facebook page (Same name as the movie) People are actually loosing weight! IT's an awesome thing. I'm going to do it come October

  • @TITO1991B I just read there is a Facebook page with real people loosing weight up there. I going as soon as I finish reading all the posts. Good luck to all.

  • I'm curious what every is using here. Emulsifier or a basic blender?

  • raw foods is where its at

  • @Qomolangma777 Weren't you done one comment ago? Guess you can't suck up your pride and admit you got intellectually swept. Look at your last comment full of acronyms and mockeries before you consider profanity any less, smart guy. I said the Twinkie diet for caloric intake- guess you missed that too. And as far as the other benefits, it's been proven there's a better way... a full liquid diet is NOT the best way by any stretch. Ask any nutritionist/doctor, esp. those in athletics. Do it.

  • @Qomolangma777 I like how you refuse to focus on the topic and you made 80% of your original argument into a rant about how I say things. And way to look up the Twinkies diet- it's very popular in health circles. Oh well, continue to pretend you know what you talk about... that was really sad... really sad. Smh.

  • @Qomolangma777 Condescending tone? I was asserting my strong opinion. If you're that sensitive, you don't belong in the real world and you should stick to arguing on YouTube against strangers like me, even though I'm outclassing you. Proof is too subjective kid. There are people who lost weight by eating twinkies. Less calories in + more calories out = weight loss. Is it the best method? No. I'm a NASM certified trainer. If that's not "valid," consider your input pure shit. Hahaha

  • @Qomolangma777 I would never have my clients starve, I mean fast, over anything. Rebooting bodies and extended juice starvations (I mean, fasts) lead to muscle catabolism. Before you call me a troll (even though you don't use the word properly), you should learn about nutrition. What are your qualifications? I didn't know there were proteins, and even if there were, it came so late that there's a lot of muscle breakdown and metabolic changes. Smartass.

  • This is fucking retarded. An all-liquid diet isn't even the best way to lose weight, let alone to use WHILE maintaining exercise. They don't even look like they're having enough protein and healthy fats to keep them going, let alone energy carbs. As a personal trainer, I would never put ANYBODY on an all-liquid diet. Ever.

  • @seaFoodSifu I agree. I kept thinking, where is the protein? How is i possible to survive. However, juicing would be a good way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into an already healthy diet.

  • Question: Can you still drink large amounts of alchohol while doing this? Just asking...

  • @conrob101 Alcohol has a LARGE amount of empty calories, and it extremely dehydrating and damaging to your liver. I'd advise against it. Otherwise, why even try to start a juice fast?

  • @conrob101 LMAO!!!!

  • Im going to start this next week. i just need to wait for my pay check to get a juicer. any of you guys know of a good one thats under $100 or cheaper? thanks so much.

is this also on something other then netflix? thanks so much
