  • My arowana jumped out from the tank and went in between the tank and the wall at the wee hours and when I discovered him in the morning, he was dead..... Any recommend any fish to keep with arowana that is able to live in a 4th tank?

  • He's filming a video....

  • hey

    can you please help me

what kind of glue u used to glue the tank ?

    silicon?

    i wanna do a 300 gal tank

but the glass shop guy said the silicon wont hold it ..

  • 1:11 drop eye disease?

  • hello, how much was this when you bought it? i have a 8'x2'x2' tank is that big enough for one?

pretty fish, i like the silver ones. the red ones are nice too... but i hear they are expesive.

how much did it cost you to feed this guy per week/month?

  • your so funny mister marijane to some flying lessons

  • How did he do?

  • that thing is huge i cant wait fir mine to get that big

  • :( poor guy... im not sure.. but arent Arowana's like mad expensive. I would cry.. for sure. i dont think these guys like aquarium life much. they bail the tank alot.. bummer times man..

  • @urmomschesthair1 they jump out of the water to eat insects off of branches its a natural habit for them

  • You name your fish like I do, by what type they are. Mr. Oscar and Mr. Pleco :D

  • mine is so shy.. what i need to do?

  • Oh no, sad to hear it jumped out again. What a loss of such a beautiful fish. Are you going to get another arowana?

  • I had a Silver Aro get up to 22 inches. It got really hard to keep him in the tank. A custom-cut plexiglass cover wasn't enough, ended up with bricks on top of that to keep the cover held down.

I had a couple of older cats - everytime he'd jump out, they would come bug me that something was wrong. They actually saved his but a few times.

Hands down, my all-time favorite fish. But also the biggest headache, keeping him in the tank.

  • mine jumped out and died after 45cm. they jump and sometimes if your not there at home, theyll die

  • how big is your tank? is the aro fully grown?

  • you should always put something heavy on top of the glass top

    Arowana jumps only in threaten.

  • check ouy my arowanas. need to get some feeders for loser part of tank. still adding.

  • you should space out your tank more from the wall. i do but you might want to invest in a wooden canopy and beam over the glass for the lids to stay closed

  • my oscar jumped out into the garbage can just when it was dying hahahah!

  • stupid fish lol ! :)

therealgyk your right he wont bee

    he got fucked up !!

  • @tkbrahh02 he will. lol

  • that arowana wont be doing that again lol

  • is he that strong?????

  • it just happened to me today at 8am. my 5 inch jumped out from the tiny gap i made in my cover. thank god i found it right after it jumped out. no serious damage. never thought it'll happen to me but it did.

  • same ting happened to my 6'' silver arow.....

  • how is he doing now?

also where did u get him??

and how big is the tank?

  • I've had that happen before!! I had one jump out of the tank when I was in the kitchen once, I heard it jump, but I could not find it. I didn't find it until 2 weeks later on the one side of the tank I didn't look.

  • seriously, thats a bad lie. who will give up on searching for arowana that jumped out.

  • How would you know? You weren't there. I searched everywhere I could.

  • you should add weights or a heavy lid so they wont be able to jump out.

  • wow....hes really beat up

  • how often were you doing water changes? just curious as to why he would jump

  • Thay all jump when they have a chance (Arowanas)

  • wow he is strong and he is crazy*

  • yeah ur a luky one

back wen i was in HS

    i had a 2 ft. aro and

    1 morning i got up

to find that he had jumped

out of the tank and was laying

    on the floor dead

oh btw wat do u feed urs?

  • same here man but it happened on the day after christmas :( last year

  • nice tank, what kinds of fish inside your tank??

  • drop eye

  • its nothing to worry about

arowana's are labyrinths and they can breath atmosperic air , so it could have lasted an hour or more out of the tank

  • My Arrow is a Jumper also. Its probably that red devil that chased him out. Arrowannas jump in the wild. They can jump and snatch insects several feet above the water. Thanks for sharing.

  • "good googly moogly"?wow.

  • did your aro survive

  • Yep, that fish is lucky alright.

If it was mine it'll be in the frying pan

and on a plate with sweet and sour sauce..

  • screw you why would you eat such a buetiful fish

  • all fish are beautiful. in what sense is a silver arowana more beautiful than your average aquarium fish? in fact it's kinda boring. Just a cool shaped mouth which is generally considered "ugly" and "mean" looking. I like all animals and see beauty in all of them.

  • geez stop feeding goldfish to it

  • I had one few years ago. It was 35 inches and jumped out of my tank 6 or 7 times. He broke the glass top many times. I had to sell him he was getting big and my tank was small for him. When I bought him, he was only 2 inches long and he grew up to 35 inches. (in 3 and half yrs.)

  • I once heard of a chinese restaurant owner who had an elegant arowana in his restaurant tank as a display of luck bringing in fortune. Unfortunately one day it jumped out and when the owner found him dead on the floor, he close his shop for days and went home to grieve. I guess you could consider yourself lucky that he is alive. Or else you may be facing what that restaurant owner is facing right now: BAD LUCK!!! LOL. good luck to you.

  • you're lucky at least your tank isn't by a window my albino oscar jumped out of my window into my back yard but hes ok if not a little bruised

now i have a clamp down lid :)

  • what did he land in? soft soil? hard dirt? grass? mud? another tank?

I had a ghost shrimp jump from my 55G into my betta bowl. Hahahaha

  • been there, and it sure does suck lol

  • lucky he was only out for ten minutes , you would of lost him had you been out .... he will probably end up being ok , he looked ok swimming ...

  • i think judging from the jaw your aro is a female

  • how big is your tank

  • good googley moogley he is a big boy!

  • sorry about your loss he looks real cool i will put a video of my 2 baby black aros in my 220 real soon !

  • my pet shop owner says to feed my silver arowana shrimp with very small quantity of multivitamin tabs stuffed inside it to grow fast. any expert opinion from ur side please?

  • oh yeah you have to put two bags of gravel on the top or opening

  • did he make it i lost one like this.

  • He was fine till 2 nights ago. Got out again. Found him on the floor dead. 25 inches and all dried up. Really bummed.

  • sorry to hear that my uncle lost one about 36 inches still in his freezer. mine was about 12

  • how long did u have him

  • sorry for your loss mate!!i know how it feels!

  • 25 inches???? fuckk man... i never got silvers after mine jumped out. i feel your pain....

  • how much was it?

  • @kiloindia1 that sucks srry

  • @kiloindia1 thats why im keeping a lid on the tank

  • how can i get my arowana to grow that big fast?

  • can u tell me how the arowana be huge and good budy coz i have one i tjhink it is thin mmmmmmmm and how old is it thats fish .....

  • I don't understand your first question. He's about 2 yrs old now.

  • what do u give ur fish for eat i wana know if u give it good food it must be healthy and fat what do u give it usually to eat

  • Whiting fish fillets cut up. Shrimp. Home made beef heart recipe, do a google search on that. Hikari pellets. Earth worms. crickets. goldfish once a month or so.

  • @kiloindia1 is it ok if you feed them earthworms that you have in the yard?

  • Lol those Arowanas are not to be underestimated, they are powerful little bastards.

  • my silver arowana jumped from the tank

its was a beast and it was out of the water for 5 to 7 min and after 3 weeks it just died

    it was horrible

  • I dont care much for arrowanas but there fish so i love them

  • I lost my silver arowana from jumping - lucky you were at home at the time...

Maybe get rid of the Oscar? Or bigger tank?

  • hey.. my silver aro jumped outa its tank last night. Wasn't a pretty site..basically it jumped so hard that the canopy flipped off the tank and the aro hit to floor.. it was out for a good 2-3mins or so. Aro seems fine now, was bleeding at the bevels and one scale came off. We ended up tying down the whole canopy to the stand. Hope it never happens again!

  • I've heard you could keep a single Arowana in a 70 gallon if you wanted, the reason most people say 150 is because the Arowanas do well in groups but take into consideration that they do get big and the bigger the tank you have the better.

  • good googilly moogilly lol

    I hope hes ok

my silver did the same thing while i was at work but when i found him it was too late

  • Wow, he's big. Hope he recovers.

  • try putting long, thin rocks on all the holes. Stack them up high, so it's too much weight for him to knock off. I do that on my tanks and it works like a charm.

    hopefully he lives, good luck.

  • i've seen aro recover from worse injuries. amazing how powerful they are huh? good luck with the healing process.
