Again, battle is used very loosely, as Mitsuhide had tens of thousands of men while Nobunaga only had a small bodyguard. In essence, Mitsuhide betrayed Nobunaga like a wuss, and Nobunaga died like a man in the face of literally insurmountable odds. Whatever complaints you have about Nobunaga, Mitsuhide was certainly no better.

@pimp500000 Yep Mitsuhide didn't even fight. Nobunaga and Ranmaru and a few soldiers were there. They fought as long as they could. Ranmaru and Nobunaga eventually went into the burning temple and committed seppuku. Mitsuhide was killed 11 days later.
Nobunaga shed a single tear...That's kind of nice of him.

Mitsuhide was killed by peasants with bamboo spears. He wouldn't have lasted 10 seconds against Nobunaga.
