I'm not a xbox gamer but by far halo series have been the best games in my opinion can't remember how long its been since it came out but I'm 19 now and still the first game is still brilliant to play!

Everything was secretive, nothing was ever known about them beyond, "My name, spartan number, and position on the team. My special talent." I don't like the Reach characters because they're all like that. While it's cool at first to have that mysterious illusion, you expect a payoff: getting to learn something about them, but it disappoints. Too bad.
@THEREPTILE666 I really wanted Reach to be good, but without characters, a game just can't be good. You can play multiplayer for as long as you want though, and after I beat the mediocre campaign, I figured that they would at least make that satisfying. It lacked something, though. I don't know what it was, but I just didn't like the multiplayer. I guess I just liked Halo 3 too much, so changing that perfect multiplayer just seemed like a bad idea. I'm sure that other people can appreciate it.
@ChUmBaWaMbA31 okay, i can see where youre going with this but youre forgetting something: the game was about the fall of the human colony of Reach and the team who took a large part in doing their best to defend it. in short, THERE WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!! the mere phrase "FALL of Reach" indicates that Noble Team was going to die (excluding Jun, whose current position is unknown to my knowledge). The reason the game was made was to show what they meant in Halo: CE and Halo 2
@mysterykill I think that the Halo movie would start off with Reach. About 5 minutes later, they would've summarized the Reach story and they would be on to the events of Halo C.E. or Halo Wars or whatever came next chronologically. The point is, the story was uninteresting and had boring characters (those two go hand in hand). If I would have respected one of the characters besides Jorge (who i only liked for combat, like Mass Effect characters), the game could be more enjoyable.

@mysterykill I guess I don't like the whole aspect of survival mode in games. I played Halo 3 first, so I didn't really know much about Reach (I can't recall any specific references to it right now, if any). Beat Halo 2 after that and have yet to beat C.E. I wanted this game to be good, I really did. It just doesn't appeal to me. I'm sure someone can find something good in this game, but not me. I liked Forge, but I just get scared by the scope of Forge World, and I don't even know what to do.

@Darkside780 you dont get it darkside. reach represents a quality of humanity that only comes out in times of extraordinary crisis. Yea it is just a game but its more than the sum of its parts. Like the soldiers at Normandy or (for the sake of argument) the actual Spartans at the battle of Thermopolaye, they stood and fought knowing they would perish but holding on to the hope that their sacrifice would ultimately save their people from extinction. And thats what the halo spartans represent.

100000 years ago the flood attacked and so the forerunners built halo to destroy them , in the year 2552 we remembered reach and fought those covenant and delayed them to find earth , we found HALO in the same year and destroyed it so no covy ass will use it agains us and later they found earth but with a small fleet they had so we won the first strike but there was delta halo and the ark so we destroyed them to together with the covy so no more covys... what do we have to fight in halo 4 then

@SupaLegit MS made 343 industries to specifically continue Halo after Halo 3. It has Halo's director as well as many Bungie employees, I doubt MS will allow a series as big as Halo to be ruined by people that don't know what they are doing. If anything, it will probably be too much like Halo 3 because they will fear to change anything. We'll see, but I personally don't think that Halo 4 will ruin Halo. Plus 343 has already been making comics and books.
@EleyonNeovo I'm sure it was after Halo 2. I mean, CE had to be primarily a story-based game because it wasn't on XBL. Halo 2 had a lot more story - too much, in fact. They focused so much on the storyline that they had to cut out entire levels because they no longer had enough time. Halo 3 was where it became evident that multiplayer was the major focus for gamers, as Bungie could compare online coop statistics with multiplayer statistics.
@weirdmanmovies182 Yeah, I looked everywhere and I couldn't find how to legally get it (I don't like stealing music) and everyone said that there is no way to get it so I just took the video off youtube. The weird part is that I used the "get album art" thing on iTunes and the CD came right up, but I've checked and it's not on there :/. I would just take the video and convert the video to an MP3 because there, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be any other way to get it.
Eh, Bungie was ready to give up the Halo project after Halo: Combat Evolved...Don't get me wrong they kept the series going, but I think all and all it depressed them a bit that people weren't so interested in the story of Halo, the gamers wanted multiplayer. I've heard Halo 4 is coming. We don't know when, or by who. Whatever that, the Halo series will become dead from the new release. But, from my experiences at Halo 3, and Reach, I will never ever forget the Halo timeline. I assure no one will. And I have also heard on the official Bungie website they are recruiting PS3 members to help out. We don't know why. But even though all these sad changes happen, our memory is the one that stays the same. Please, thumbs this up. So it shall be remembered:)

@TxiRecoNz I think the only reason Bungie stopped making the series themselves is because they didn't want Activision to screw it all up. Things will be different, but I view it as more of a thing to look forward to. As much as I loved the originals and their gameplay, I have been further mesmerized by the entire story within the halo universe, such a story that I had looked up on Halo Wiki on my free time. So I really want to see what happens to 117 next.

I loved halo ce, halo 2, halo 3, wars and odst , but Reach delivered story and emotions. I've replayed the campaign 7 times and every time I get sad at the end! 343 don't fuck this up!!!!

100000 years ago the flood attacked and so the forerunners built halo to destroy them , in the year 2552 we remembered reach and fought those covenant and delayed them to find earth , we found HALO in the same year and destroyed it so no covy ass will use it agains us and later they found earth but with a small fleet they had so we won the first strike but there was delta halo and the ark so we destroyed them to together with the covy so no more covys... what do we have to fight in halo 4 then

Then We discovered halo and unlocked it's secrets (halo combat evolved) in the middle of the process of ending the human and covenant war including it being on earth as well!( halo 2 and halo 3) We kept it clean !(halo 3 odst)

When the first Halo game was released, I was very young. However, I still played it. I spent my childhood growing along with the Halo universe. I remember Halo 2. The announcement of Halo 3. The release of Halo Wars. The thrilling epic of ODST.

343 owns halo, Microsoft owns 343, bungie is no longer in the equation at all. However bungie does still oversee 343 to make sure 343 doesn't fuck it up. Plus, half of the bungie employees joined 343 to work on halo. So trust me guys, the same people are still doing halo, it's just a different name is all. Halo 4 will be released in December of next year, by 343 Industries. Bungie has left Halo in our hands, they built it up from the ground up and now left it to us. They will always be remembered by us, and maybe someday we will run into them on their new journey, their new path to world domination.

@SupaLegit MS made 343 industries to specifically continue Halo after Halo 3. It has Halo's director as well as many Bungie employees, I doubt MS will allow a series as big as Halo to be ruined by people that don't know what they are doing. If anything, it will probably be too much like Halo 3 because they will fear to change anything. We'll see, but I personally don't think that Halo 4 will ruin Halo. Plus 343 has already been making comics and books.

@EleyonNeovo I'm sure it was after Halo 2. I mean, CE had to be primarily a story-based game because it wasn't on XBL. Halo 2 had a lot more story - too much, in fact. They focused so much on the storyline that they had to cut out entire levels because they no longer had enough time. Halo 3 was where it became evident that multiplayer was the major focus for gamers, as Bungie could compare online coop statistics with multiplayer statistics.

@weirdmanmovies182 Yeah, I looked everywhere and I couldn't find how to legally get it (I don't like stealing music) and everyone said that there is no way to get it so I just took the video off youtube. The weird part is that I used the "get album art" thing on iTunes and the CD came right up, but I've checked and it's not on there :/. I would just take the video and convert the video to an MP3 because there, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be any other way to get it.

Eh, Bungie was ready to give up the Halo project after Halo: Combat Evolved...Don't get me wrong they kept the series going, but I think all and all it depressed them a bit that people weren't so interested in the story of Halo, the gamers wanted multiplayer. I think Bungie wanted people to be a bit more interested in what was going on and how it happened, and we all just loved shooting our friends xD. Notice the decline in story mode from Combat Evolved to Halo 3?

I've heard Halo 4 is coming. We don't know when, or by who. Whatever that, the Halo series will become dead from the new release. But, from my experiences at Halo 3, and Reach, I will never ever forget the Halo timeline. I assure no one will. And I have also heard on the official Bungie website they are recruiting PS3 members to help out. We don't know why. But even though all these sad changes happen, our memory is the one that stays the same. Please, thumbs this up. So it shall be remembered:)

@TxiRecoNz I think the only reason Bungie stopped making the series themselves is because they didn't want Activision to screw it all up. Things will be different, but I view it as more of a thing to look forward to. As much as I loved the originals and their gameplay, I have been further mesmerized by the entire story within the halo universe, such a story that I had looked up on Halo Wiki on my free time. So I really want to see what happens to 117 next.

Halo has revolutionized so much about video games, I believe it will bring success no matter what they do with it. Even if they made a Halo game for the Wii, or playstation, or the freakin' NINTENDO DS. It'll make them all 100 times as popular and play-worthy. There's only one mistake they could possibly make: to stop making Halo games.
