  • Isn't this a cover for Fred Astaire's I cannot tell a lie?

  • fuck sydney they get everything

    melbourne fucks all over them

  • So much for "Oh he has no feeling".

  • EVERY GREAT SHRED GUITAR PLAYER OF OUR TIME HAS TO HAVE 1 OR MORE MELODIC/BEAUTIFUL TRACK..LIKE ALWAYS WITH ME, ALWAYS WTH YOU BY JOE, WISHFUL THINKING BY PETRUCCI..AND GUILBERT IS MUCH CAPABLE OF THAT xD

  • @deathscythekim729

Well, Buckethead and Shawn Lane are certainly the masters of doing that. Paul's faster stuff is really melodic anyways. Oh, R.I.P. Shawn Lane and long live Paul and Big B!

  • He wears those headphones to get a good mix of himself and of the band, and also to protect his hearing. :)

  • he's having a super orgasm

    GILBERT 4 EVER BITCHES

  • somebody knows why he is using headphones

  • @Infected18322 i think he just uses headphones to deafen the sound so he doesn't like kill his ears

  • @Infected18322well the headphones, it's like inner ear monitors, to hear himself in the band's mix, slightly a volume higher, bcoz a lot of players dont usually rely on stage wedges or stage monitors..it's his guitar mix he's hearing in his headphones

  • @Infected18322

This is a very old comment, but I just wanted to say the actual reason he wears headphones is because he is deaf in one ear, and nearly deaf in the other. He also has tinnitus. He wears the headphones to protect whats left of his hearing.

  • somebody know why he is using the headphones?

  • Great job off the cuff.

  • 3:08 - that's the new AIRPLANE FLANGER PG SIGNATURE from IBANEZ, great pedal man!!!

  • *cough*shameless plug*cough*

  • WHAT???

  • uhh how is that a flanger? Isn't he just bending the note?

(And yes I'm very familiar with his old modified ADA flanger as well as his new Airplane flanger)

  • @bleedinfingers his airplane flanger has the "land" switch which can be set to perform a quick flange downward...he hits that on the note

  • 3:08 - What was that? That's amazing.

  • wow. seriously sick. what the hell

  • was an orgasm :D

    i love his facial expressions

  • r these workshops good, cos bruce kulick is coming on april 4 to allans music for $25 and i was wondering if it was worth it? and what do u do?

  • what the shit. hes so good.....

  • the bass response on this is garbage but somehow the message still gets through

  • It has the Satriani influence but this is still Paul's thing....he is a melodic guitarist too just listen to his solos especially those at Mr. Big

  • @DewSchizoFunk the are two of the greatets guitar playes in the history

  • Same here, I cannot lie. This is totally FUCKIN AWESOME! Best tone ever. His vibrato sounds like a violin. So beautiful!

  • Yes, he is quite famous for his wide vibrato, I always try to replicate it always ends up uneven

  • same here his vibrato is awesome he uses a violin vibrato stily if I'm not wrong?

  • I think that his collaboration with Neal More has helped a lot in this kind of musical expression.

  • Neal Morse

  • Great tune. But, for me, he's always been very melodic. Certainly one of the most tasty of the "shredders". He's very deep

  • Hahaha my friend thought Satriani played this too

  • It does kinda remind me of "Always WIth Me, Always With You" by Satch. I prefer this one though.

  • Allan's won't release it. They ran into issues apparently.

  • cool...

  • saw him do this live in manchester, me and my friend nearly cried, so emotional, awesome song, stood there for the whole tune drooling

  • Last time I fell in love with an instrumental song was with Satriani's "Love Thing". This song, WOW! Even my wife loves it even if she doesn't care about these guitar virtousos. Absolutely amazing melody!

  • yea paul is right this sounds like a joe satriani type of song but with pauls style mixed into it

  • Paul is so funny! "it's not a such bad key" :P

  • does anyone know when allans are going to get around to bringing out the dvd to this clinic???

  • great track

  • I love this song!

    Great Paul!!!

  • very nice melody. i enjoyed this song and the album very much. go PG!!!

  • OMG that is freaking awesome!!! I got the album the day in came out, and am really happy to finally see him play it live. His tone on the long sustained notes in this song is incredible...I get shivers when he hits that really high note in the 2nd "chorus" section...leaves me breathless.

  • slightly off in that same part as he did in NAMM...

    awesome tune though.

  • he's one of the kings

  • do you guys have this song's tab? i can't find anywhere... i need it please :(

  • guy try to figure it out with ur ear

the main riff is in A major, I , IV, V chord

try to figure the extended notes of these chords, not that difficult, u can hear the A note hanging there over the 3 chords

then there is a part that it modulated to A minor, it's called modal interchange, then it goes back to A major.

  • ive got the tab and backing track for this song if you want just message me.

  • where did you get the backing track from?

  • if u buy the sfbadr dvd u get the backing tracks

  • hehe, damn how I want to see paul play "silence followed by a deafening roar" live.

    I can't find it anywhere

  • I was there....PG 5 stars............

  • this song tops satriani's "always with you always with me" IMo

  • yeah PG is awesome. One of the things I like about PG outside of his playing abilities, is the fact he doesn't have this mega processed sound. It still sounds like an old fashion raw rock guitar (like AC/CD). But on steriods :)

  • want good sound... buy the album ;-)

  • finally!, nice recap of the night

  • we finally get to see it played live! awesome!

  • :D finally! Coool
