I have part 2 out now!! :) This one was recorded on a webcam mike. I am thinking maybe I should re-record it now that I have a real mike. You should be able to hear a huge difference in audio quality between this and part 2. :D
Part 2 has got so much stuff in it that it's really hard to summarize. I'm probably gonna use Uncle Sam as my symbol of personal obligation to take the risk of death (I want YOU for the US Army) but it's kinda hard to figure out how to represent the instinct-based ethics stuff and deal with it in a brief enough fashion that it covers the necessary ground without becoming too long and boring
@Docteur4u I do realize that "The Abolition of Man" stands against the current of popular opinion among modernist philosophers, as it is in many ways an apology/defense of ancient wisdom. And everybody always needs to read more / learn more. But I can neither refute nor accept such a broad general statement as "there are flaws in his arguments" simply on the say-so of some random Internet user. The only criticism I've heard is from people who completely miss the point, which is easy enough to do
@Docteur4u Furthermore, "The Abolition of Man" is a real philosophy book, as it's a real book about philosophy. I trust you aren't maintaining that it's not a real book and I have only imagined it?
This will help a lot on my report, thx Ben.

@Docteur4u That argument is addressed at length in part 2

Agreed with Tumbleweed. This was fantastic, and the simplicity of your writing has helped me understand The Abolition of Man even more! Thank You!

@starbuc2 Thanks. I've been really busy but when I have time I'm gonna be making more videos - at least two more about the Abolition of Man for sure
