From my understanding, he was at one point in the 60s when the only thing you had to be concerned about was equal rights for the blacks, and he supposedly supports African-American rights but he has supposedly become disbarred and doesn't practice law much anymore.

Chile, has its own government; once again is not under the control of the USA.
