how do you edit the ''Target" field in Properties?

@ShadowLcrow Okay, this is how it should look in that field. "C:\Program Files\Dragon Age II\bin_ship\DragonAge2.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

Now if its blocked then make sure your getting the shortcut from the correct startup application AND make sure your the administrator on the computer. This can be the problem often. The File your shortcutting should be located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age II\bin_ship folder) and be the "DragonAge2.exe. Let me know if this helps at all.

@OfficiallyWinning the same thing happened to me, but i found out that it doesnt work all the time you just have to keep pushing the buttons until it works.. :P you might have to push it 50 times or maybe 2 times, it goes from pc to pc.. hope it helped!

@TheRocketTurret Ok, you have to make sure you only start the game with the shortcut you created. Also, there is a file that you have to go into and change sometimes as well. Hey, I did all this and ran it, i hit the "~" key but nothing happened, i checked the keybinding settings and they was right, what seems to be the problem with it?

1.) This will not work if its through Steam or through a Torrent.

2.) Make sure that you do have the key binding to the default setting mentioned in a previous comment.

3.) If this doesn't work, then make sure you are selecting the correct Application. I show you the difference in the video.

4.) If this still doesn't work, then there is a more "dangerous" approach to open it. Please search the Dragon Age 2 Wiki for this solution since its more detailed and complicated.

@naitssss Yes, cause normally you will only get to around 25 and that's if you do ALL the quests like I do.

@schoolboyz92 You need to make sure that the default key is still ~. Follow these instructions to the (t) and you may want to also backup your files for safety.

Open the following file in notepad: C:\BioWare\Dragon Age II\Settings\KeyBindings.ini

Scroll down until you find "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Butto­n_Grave" if the later part of this is anything other than Button_Grave then change it back to this. That will allow you to use the ~ as your key binding for it.
