Ken has always been my favorite Street Fighter Character, but in the animated series that I watched, he learned the Shouryuken while tied to a hospital table-type thing and busted through a floor. He never DID learn a Hadouken from the one-two series I watched. Can someone point me in the right direction for the ORIGINAL shit that started it all? ;)

@BernardoMP13 Ryo Sakazaki's look is based around Ken Masters, it's only natrual that the two would look similar. The fact that Ken's Gi appears Orange in this photo serves to compound the confusion.

This is actually Ken from Capcom Vs. SNK 2. Ryo appears in that game too and the main two ways to tell are the fact that Ryo's Gi is lighter in colour than this, Ryo is wearing an undershirt as well and finally Ken has slightly (but noticably) longer hair. I hope that this has cleared up your issue.

@BaronZTUKHH 'reeyoo' is also an incorrect pronunciation. But definitely closer than "raiyoo".

His name is 1 syllable when pronounced properly in Japanese.

りゅう 'Ri Yu U'. But the small 'Yu' (ゅ) changes the sound of the 'Ri' (り), removing the " i " sound.

We don't have any words in English to compare that pronunciation with, that's why the improper pronunciation 'reeyoo' came to be. just FYI.

It is hard to spell in phonetics the true way to say his name in Japanese or "Nihongo" to be correct, Allas, this your comment will go a long way to educating the people who still call a character named Ryu Raioo. You should post your comment on many more videos just so people see it and realize.
