  • Blessed be the Lord God!

  • And I present you world, the one good song my people have created that is actually for our own religion.

  • @Aviriorix This song cant be confined to any religion. It's universal.

  • @2012kingmalik Very True, everyone should always hope for the better, I was just saying that we have another good song, but its for Christmas :D

  • I'm a total atheist but I love this song, and it still has a totally powerful message. :)

  • whenever i listen to this song my dad comes to mind... im 11 and just recently my dad got a severe form of cancer but this song reminds me that there is a possibility of him getting cancer and maybe god will help

  • seriously guys stop insulting each other! Science can explain a lot, but it would not even be there if God did not create it! plus, if you think about it, it is better to believe than to not because if God doesn't exist after all, both believers and other will just die. however, if he is, those who love him will go to be with him and those who don't will suffer. So if Atheists really believe in logic, then surely there would be no Atheists?!

  • Comment removed

  • Am I the only one here for the song? o_O

  • @atheist382 You praise science when science is not on your side. True science, physics, math, biology and chemistry, all lean towards agnosticism. You will find few scientists who are atheist because scientists know very well that nothing is provable or otherwise. Agnosticism is when you do not believe or disbelieve in god because you know there is no way of knowing for sure. That... and some just don't care, such as myself.

  • @atheist382 Yes our bodies will rot... but wat about our souls? How about when We die and God is passing judgement one us, you try to convice Him of that... Maybe he will leave you alone and let u Rot?... But one thing is sure if you dont repent now and ask for Him to come in ur life He will certinaly let you rot but in Hell... and i dont wish that upon any one...

  • @TheKaryl88 He doesn't want that either because he loves you and wants the best for you. But if we deny Him on earth He will deny us in Heaven.... I hope u dont get mad at me i am just stating my point just as you did your's.

  • @atheist382 yeah muuuuuuuuuuuch better. You know the big bang theory? You know how "great" science explains how the matter came to be? why the big bang even happened? things popping out of nowhere?

but of coooouuuurse believing in something higher than us having made it is not even half as logical as that -.-

  • Every time i hear this song i cry. My friends and i r singing this for black history month

  • Is this song originally from this? Seriously? That's impressive!

  • i dont think aliens make this -alien=not IN THIS WORLD

  • iam not understnding why ppls hats so bad jews.

    ?? good movie&song

  • 4:05!!!

  • I am singing this with my choir .... it´s so great =)

  • this movie used to scare the crap outa me0.o

  • chills

  • 193 people are Egyptians.

  • Doesn't matter if you believe in God or don't believe this song is about believing in hope and good in this world :)

  • Haha the atheist person comes back like every week and posts the same thing to get people all angry. I never see a response back though...oh well I loveeeee this sing and movie!!

  • When I was like 8 i memorized the Hebrew part and told all my friends I could speak hebrew and sang it to them :)

  • One of the most inspiring movies of all time

  • Why wouldn't you want to believe that after living such a terrible life you can go onto another destiny far more wonderful than our own... A place freedom and dreams...what so wrong about that? whats so wrong with a wandeiors man who created this world and maybe thousands more? is it because we endure suffering we cannot hope to understand why and how it happens if so you have no reason to live.

  • this is so high!!!!

  • @atheist382 You know you should diss what other people believe . I am an atheis to but if they want to believe that then let them.

  • I believe we can stop SOPA and PIPA!

I wonder if we can make a miracle happen.

  • i want to know whose voices these are?!

  • @AnnaSpanna11 Miriam is voiced by Sally Dworsky and Tzipporah is Michelle Pfeiffer :)

  • Sniff sniff I can't stop it's too much for me I love it! Sniff sniff sobb sobb

  • I always cry when I watch this movie - It's beautiful !

  • @atheist382 You have no proof, and yet you act as if your facts are based on education. You don't even have enough information to form a hypothesis, but I can tell you miracles happen every day. Even my brother who was said to never make it past the age of 10 is showing Dr.s that they were wrong.

Its wrong to look down on others because of the things they believe in. I am friends with plenty of atheists and not ONCE have they spoke down to me like you have in your comment.

  • This song makes me cry./3

  • I did this song in middle school choir. Every now and then I have to come back and hear it again.

  • This song always give the strength I need during my day. If you have faith in God!

  • maybe the characters would be more believable to me if they werent all voiced by white ppl

  • The animation and the song just so perfectly capture the mood. At first the Hebrews can't quite believe they're truly free, but as the sunrise makes everything brighter and more colorful, the song builds up to the children's chorus, where their voices grow stronger and happier. Then finally the people really get that they're free, and the song becomes a powerful anthem of joy. Masterful.

  • i cry when i hear this song it's impact is amazing

  • Check out my rendition of Partition & Lion King!

  • When this movie came out, I remember having a character crush on Moses.

    I'm going strait to hell, aren't I?

  • @LizBiz1975 I hope not...seeing hell is not a joke.

  • @LizBiz1975 i dont think so. there is nothing wrong with having sort of a fondness of a character, even if he's fictional and even if he's from the bible. i remember really liking Tzepporah in this movie (moses's wife)

  • @LizBiz1975 well if your going straight to hell then i am to because i was completley in love with him haha

  • @LizBiz1975 no worries. im 14 and i STILL have a crush on Moses.

  • @LizBiz1975

    Character crushes are totally normal.

I had a character crush on Rameses for the longest time until I was older and I discovered how big a of a jerk he was.

  • @LizBiz1975 well, I think his sister's pretty cute.

  • @LizBiz1975 Nah. There are worse characters to have a crush on.

  • @LizBiz1975 lol me too, the animators just made him so..hot!

  • @LizBiz1975 its a cartoon so no

  • I love this movie and song so beautiful

  • To say that the Jewish people deserved what happened is disgusting! I am Jewish & my grandfather suffered through the Holocaust. Seeing his family murdered in a concentration camp & almost dying in a labor camp at 11 haunts him. What happened is inhumane! People are bringing Palestine into this but not ALL Jews support what is happening!! Its like saying the majority of people in jail are Christian so all are bad! We cannot group people and hold such hate otherwise we are creating World War 3!

  • @schoolgeek2b I'm very sorry for your grandfather. I don't understand why can't Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Catholics can't get along. We're all God's children and monotheistic (believe in one God) and believe in the same God. I'm not saying other religions should be hated on but we're all the same and God loves us equally no matter what or who we are.

  • @schoolgeek2b

    And what actually

    "Happening"?

  • @KusEmke No, I meant happened. My first sentence was in correlation to WW2 not the Palestine- Israel War.

  • @schoolgeek2b I personally say that to say that to say you're a Christian, yet hates Jews is a hypocrite. Also, ALL of mankind deserve any sort of punishment from God and He would've wiped us all out from the very beginning. But He didn't, He just didn't. Even though we don't deserve it, the LORD love us ALL enough to send his Son to die for us ALL.

  • @schoolgeek2b I am most definitely NOT one of those people. I think the Jewish are one of the most interesting groups of people in the world; next to the Spanish, Japanese and Irish.

Watching this movie, I could feel the pain the Hebrews under the servitude of the Egyptians. Anyone who feels that they deserved their pain doesn't want or wish to understand.

I hope my statement is understandable to you

  • Oh i get chills when i listen to this! So moving

  • Can anyone tell me who sings Moses's sisters part?

  • I love when Michelle Pfeiffer sings <3

  • The kids ruined the mood of the song.

    It's supposed to be sad...

  • @LossOfEternal

Its not supposed to be sad! Its a song about HOPE and MIRACLES. Whats so sad about that?! Its about a new beginning!

  • @LossOfEternal seconded

  • this song gives me chills all over

  • 2:30

  • Hebrew Part: I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously. I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously. Who is like You, oh Lord, among the celestial. Who is like You, oh Lord, majestic in holiness. In Your love, You lead the people You redeemed. You redeemed. I will sing. I will sing. I will sing. <3 Absolutely beautiful.

  • This song is beautiful :)

  • 2:30

    Is that Hebrew?

  • @srdjan455 Yes.

  • Comment removed

  • Is this movie nice?

  • @ByakugenHyugaHinata yes watch it. Maybe not 100% accurate, but still very moving. The Jews weren't actually slaves in Egypt like this ever.

  • I'm not religious, and I won't pretend that I am. But even though I'm not, this song still gives me chills. Just because you don't believe in god, or whatnot, doesn't mean that you have to hate on a extremely beautiful and well done song.

  • That's a typical troll response.

  • @schoolgeek2b

So you don't support the only state in this world that actually cares about us?

    @atheist382

As an Atheist, I have to say it: You're disgusting.

Just like me and you don't want people to say are beliefs are dumb, so do believers. As long they don't bother you, why would you care about their feelings and thoughts? You're just a hater.

  • Some of the hatred some people have for other people on here really just makes me sad. Yes, we may have different opinions, and I am sure some of you would not agree with mine. But, differences or not, there really isn't a reason to trash each other like this over a webpage to a song. My mother told me when I was a kid that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Some of this really isn't necessary.

  • What is @atheist382?

  • Doesn't anyone realize that atheist382 comes by at least once a week to leave a comment and troll everyone here? lol

  • I don't care what people here believe\don't believe. I love this song, and as a Jewish person, even I'm an atheist, this sing means so much to me .. Please leave this argument and enjoy this amazing song (: (: ♥

  • Believer or not, this is a great movie.

  • I love this song! But one thing that has always bothered me about history's look on the Egyptains was that they say that the Jews were forced to build the pyramids, when infact this isnt acuate in the slightest, they were volunteers who were paid, in bread and beer. Egyptians have been given a bad image because of this misunderstanding and it isn't fair. Don't get me wrong your free to believe what you choose but I think that the bible shouldnt have accused them of that considering....

  • I LOVE THIS SONG WITH A PASSION. (: And the movie is absolutely gorgeous, too. It was one of my favourites, when I was a child. I would replay it so many times... My brother and I were obsessed!

I'll leave you guys to your religious debates now. Have fun!

  • Can we please cut it out with the religious debates.

  • @sarahkeck76 amen

  • wow this music really strikes out the religious side in people

  • @atheist382 That is probably one of the most ignorant things I've ever read in my life! I grew up in a Catholic home and there is nothing weird or medieval about having a religion, it gives people hope and the beliefe that no matter how bad things get there is someone out there who cares about you, even when no one else does. As for the Atheism is the only way to world peace, that isnt true, the way to world peace is for extremists such as you, to stop being so "my way is right and yours isnt"

  • @atheist382 What a poor future you have then. What are the life worth then? You don't even think or imagine that there may be something more then just living and then die? Don't you think there is something more?

  • @atheist183 WTF dude! >:( People have the right to believe whatever religion they want. So don't go around saying crap like that.

  • @atheist328 i guess youre right in some ways, like that science is much better at explaining things, im atheist too, so i believe in *nothing*! in dont have anything against religions, i just dont like the people, who only beflieve in their god and dont want to hear anything about science or an other religion... wars begin like this...

I dont want to tell anybody what to do, but i wouldnt take religion that serious...

  • Dear those who wish to see an rerelease of The Prince of Egypt,

with the success of Disney with the 3-D rerelease of the Lion King... now is the time to talk Dreamworks Animation about giving The Prince Of Egypt an rerelease in 3-D follow by an Two-Disc DVD set/Blu Ray set.

    Please contact Dreamworks Animation:

    DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc

1000 Flower Street, Glendale, California 91201

  • HOW can anybody dislike this song? ;(

  • Love this! On a different note, I learned on the history channel that though the Hebrews were slaves in Egypt, they didn't work on the pyramids or building massive things like the sphinx and stuff. They did other things. Which makes sense because you wouldn't want someone who hated you to work on the monument dedicated to you and mess it up on purpose. I guess they had the poor work on them instead and payed them in some way. So the movie's kinda wrong then i guess. >_<

  • I notice something in this and the Cecil B. Demille version that nobody else seems to see: THE CHILDREN! I can't think of any other animated film that showed the effect on children of whatever the adults were doing.

  • @chodeshadar18 good point. most animated films are not like that.

  • thanks to God ,HE help the jews in that time ,this was awesome

  • @verlydepp20 He helps us today too. If you see clearly. He realy help us each day to be better. The only things that we should do it's to believe on him. cause they can be miracles if you just believe litft up your head and fixe your eyes to God all Mighty. Put your life on Holy Jesus. "Come to me you all who are weary and responsible and I will give you rest" this is what the bible say in Matthew 11:28.

  • @verlydepp20 the helped the Hebrews not the same don't be deceived....

  • @verlydepp20 but yeah it was awesome....

  • Seriously, does anyone know if there is a full song of 2:30 I have to hear more of that lovely song.

  • @Melkhiordarkblade They are parts of the Song of Moses and Miriam after crossing the Sea of Reeds. The full song is in Exodus, Chapter15, and they did a very loving adaptation in the movie

  • @chodeshadar18 Thanks dude.

I also like that you said the Sea of Reeds, someone did there homework. :-)

  • I will when I believe.... Thx Jesus :)

  • Old or young, you can't help but cry with this song.

  • if through music we can be united it is through music we will be xx

  • This is the version I like. The whitney and mariah one is just too showboaty and not compassionate.

  • @TrifeDynamite And I KEEP finding this song :( for almost 5 years

  • I got shivers ya'll. This movie is just, so beautiful.

  • I'm an Atheist and this song helps motivate me when I feel depressed :)

    Absolutely love it !

  • AMEN!!!! I LOVE this song!!!!!! :D

    @guoira

that's because we aren't alone; we feel the presence of the Holy Spirit

  • I believe that the earth will restore its original self when all of human's unite and love each other no matter who you are ..

I believe that it will happen ... I Believe

  • @atheist382 after reading your comments I have come to the conclusion that you sir are a professional at creating straw men. Not to mention using words trying to create controversy. Take your trolling elsewhere and do a personal study on the bible before you criticize it.

  • awesome..believe to god in good times or bad times..

when believe, we feel we are not alone..

  • I really do hate how Jews have been treated throughout history, being enslaved, booted out of countries, massacred, etc. But the thing is, it's not just the Jews, and it wasn't just back then during ancient Egypt. Every day we do something that is akin to what the Egyptians do in this movie, in subtler, but still harmful ways. I've always felt bad for the Egyptians, when they take their hats off, and when the plagues strike. It's their life style; their culture. Can we blame them for that?

  • @111Wanderlust Pity slave-owners? No. Never. It doesn't matter if it was their lifestyle. Enslavement wasn't right then and it's not right today.

  • @TheLadyGeorgette I have to disagree with you on that. What is right TODAY and what was right THEN are two entirely different matters. I disagree with slavery, but back then, it was quite common and considered acceptable.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE..ONE OF THE GREATEST FILMS OF ALL TIME.

  • Good job Mariah Carey :P

  • @Helensheart1 It's funny, I actually prefer this movie version with Michelle Pfeiffer and Sally Dworksky.

  • This is really a wonderful movie. Stuff like this makes you think. I am not religous, but I am jewish. I think there is a god. Miracles happen. I respect people opinion, as long as they respect mine.

Something else about this movie. Its so sad hoe jewish people are treated. First the Egyptians enslave the Israelites. Then the Holocaust. Now hamas. Jewish people may have done some wrong things (occupy palestine) but nothing to deserve enslavement and mass extermination.

    And whoever disagees wit

  • @Twilight08Fan The problem with that is that the Palestinians declared war on the Jewish people. If you examine history carefully, you'll find that the Jews seem to get most of the bad press. Yet despite many attempts to wipe them out completely, they have always survived and in fact, gotten stronger as a whole.

The Jews are either incredibly lucky or have a very powerful friend.

  • @atheist382 True not all Science is based of opinion some is.

  • @atheist382 your fault if God didn't save you

  • @atheist382 So Christianity is just a joke to you? I for one KNOW there is a God. Atheism is the only way for world peace? Are you joking? What a bold faced lie! You call Religious people monkeys, that could said about your beliefs! I believe everyone can express their religion even if their atheist! And it is most definitely NOT a medieval superstition. So Please stop putting others down for their religion cause that can be said the same for you

  • @atheist382 who do you think you are? I hope many people will responce negative comments to you, you stupid idiot! Tthis is what you can expect when you offend people like that! I do belive in god and you didn't change anything with that...how poor for YOU!!

  • @HyaenusDominae PFFFFFT- roflcopter all the way home.

  • This is the greatest song ever written for a musical, in my opinion. One of the best musicals, the best song. That's my opinion, though.

  • This is probably terrible of me, but when I see this scene I think of a moment from the first Lord of the Rings Movie, The Fellowship of the Ring:

PIPPIN: Right... Where are we going?

  • Personally, I don't believe in the power of prayer. Honestly, though, this song makes me want to.

  • @HyaenusDominae I respect ur opinion. My mother couldn't pay the bills so she prayed and two days after she got a job which pays a lot.

  • @glop12ggg I'm afraid I don't understand. You said you respect my opinion, that there isn't any power in prayer, but you seem to be trying to prove that there is. I don't understand what you're saying.

  • @HyaenusDominae I think there is but you don't have to believe me that's why I said "i respect ur opinion"

  • They played this song at my brothers funeral...I'll never forget it :3

  • Polytheism is much fun than monotheism, I'm an Asian and don't like some points of monotheism, but I do appreciate this song.

  • The Swedish version is much better <3

  • @atheist382 Funny thing... the more you say that in that horrible attitude, the less people will listen to you. :P

  • i wish i can sing this song..

  • I always tear up when the kids start singing. This is a beautiful song no matter what

  • Religious people are the monkeys of society!

They actually think there is an imaginary man in the sky (snicker)..how sad....

What a bunch of uneducated fools...! Atheism is the only way to world peace!

There is no god...There is no afterlife...You are on your own.... When you die, your body will just rot into the ground, and you will become worm food.

This is the truth...Stop deluding yourself with weird medieval superstitions!

  • @atheist382 Really??? "Monkeys" of society? I guess in the sense that monkeys would be just fine and would prosper and make their environment and surroundings better if left to do so, but too many morons think that they know better and screw it up.

  • @atheist382 HA! Trust me I'm not religious either....... but i still beileve in someone higher than me so I feel I will always have someone to turn to for help. This movie an absolutly beautiful one. And No one knows if there is REALLY a god or not...... Just SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE SONG!! :D

  • @atheist382 The truth, eh. Which truth the truth you believe, or the whole truth. All we get out of life is bits and pieces of information and half truths are never the whole story. I personally don#t think you#ve even read the bible. Because no one knows the whole truth but I do know some of it.

  • @atheist382

Dude, you are such a bastard to people o.O I am no Christian, I don't believe ether (I believe in other stuff, not really a god or angel fan...) but people have the right to believe what they want. Its rather grim to think once you die thats it. Gee, if that is all there is then what is the point of life? And the un-educated fools part? I know SEVERAL religious people who have the highest grades in our collage. Educate YOURSELF because no-one cares about your opinion.

  • @DarkSharni I salute you! But the last sentence: Educate YOURSELF because no-one cares about your opinion.

Just kills everything you just build with your words

  • @atheist382 You say this yet many of the atheists of today believe in "luck" something that is equally as "imaginary". Religion has allowed us to mature as a culture and create some of the most magnificent works of art & architecture. I'm also an atheist and not only that but I aim to become an Biologist that studies EVOLUTION and I think that it's fine for people to believe in what they want as long as they don't force their views on others.

Your pointless slandering is offending to everyone.

  • @kuraarachan You're making harsh, unfair generalizations, and you're acting on what appears to be prejudice against atheists.

Before you prepare your response, bear in mind that, for what it's worth, I am in fact an agnostic and a secular humanist. I am open minded to just about every religion.

Actually, don't respond at all, because I won't.

  • Such a beautiful song! I remember when I was in grade nine, I had the solo part when the kid started singing the ashiira part... He hit the notes better than I did... OH WELL!! ^o^

  • i prefer this version to the mariah carey one so much! it just seems more sincere and genuine!

    its simply lovely :)

  • Feel?

  • @atheist382 there is a god so u better just shut up I'm Christian and my father is atheist and he said that he is afraid of what will happen to him after he dies. And he said that that's y he is atheist because he doesn't want to believe in that there is a heaven and hell so I bet u r afraid of what will happen to u after u die...... Just think y is there love? Y is there happiness? How r we breathing? I am happy with my life because I have seen the love of God and felt his grace. Now what do u

  • omg. this was my favorite song when i was little!! (the dutch version sounds differently, I think i like the Dutch version better.. :$ sorry)

  • @naoompje123 don't be sorry for having an opinion. :)

  • @naoompje123 Hebrew, english, arabic, or dutch. I'm sure it is beautiful in any language. Could you post the Dutch version for us?

  • @MrJgkeeling the Dutch version is already on youtube. I`ll give u the link on your profiel (?) (because I can`t post it here) :

  • All this talk about logic and science... God can override logic and science. U MAD Atheists?

  • @AwesomeFiveMeters Please don't argue, show patience, understanding and compassion for those that hate or do not understand.

  • @atheist382 Really? Are you so pathetic that you go to every Prince of Egypt video on youtube just to post the same stupid comment? No ones listning, no one cares, and no one is going to instantaniously give up their lifelong religions just because you don't have an open enough to even consider religion. Make yourself useful and get a life.

  • I love that line, " though hope is frail, its hard to kill'

  • o filme é fantástico!!! eu AMO.

  • @julianarriagada The humility is that Jews/ Christians looking on Isreal as part of their past accept they are fallen. The are saying that it is through God's strength that they have made it through hard time and will continue in future. Those statements are statements of trust in the all-powerful God. They know they are fallen and would fail if it werent for the strength and love of God. Their faiths tell them to boast only in the LORD. They are humble bc they know they are sinful creatures.

  • @nbebabe Fair enough, but part of being humble and respectful is not acknowledging your achievements agaisnt others, but within your own trials and tribulations. The comment from Isrealsweety said that "no one has had it as hard as us" is not humble and does not show respect to others who have struggled and continue to struggle. A comment of humility would be "we have suffered greatly and the strength of God has allowed us to prevail".

  • @k3nny111

The biggest problem about Darwinism is that there are no real skeletons to prove it, the majority of the so called skeletons are frauds while there's no proof the ones they've found aren't extinct apes, they need to find the missing link, which is hard to find when they don't exist ;)

  • Btw , in 2.40 , there are children singing in hebrew , here are what they said
