Yes because percentages come before execution. You must put your players in the best possible situation for them to be successful. Execution fails on every play somewhere. receivers drop balls, Quarterback throws high, Rb misses blitz....every single play and we usually blame the player that we notice screwing up.

But this week...after we dodged those turnovers...a little conservative ball paid huge dividends at the end.

There is a formula to success and you have to stick to it...regardless.

Much fanfare was made by you and the Cowboys a little over a month ago with the signing of Allen Rossum to assume both punt and kick returns. What happens next? He gets injured on the very first return he gets and spends the next couple of weeks on the mend. Then, after he mends, the Boys release him! Oh well, much fanfare and all for what? Absolutely nothing! Next time we sign someone, make sure he proves himself on OUR field before we praise him!

Fanfare? A lot of people were happy because it was a smart move. Not one person said he was anything close to a savior...I don't think anyone expected him to be (maybe you). It still was a good signing because it is an area where we still could use some stability. Fortunately Crayton turned in two monster return games...but we might miss a return man down the line.

Praise? gimme a break. He was old and somewhat serviceable. It was a good move for the Cowboys to finally address a need.

Galloway shot that view point down, however, because he was of the belief that the 90's version of the Cowboys was just inherently more talented than today's Cowboys and the implementation of that offense is not feasible with this talent level. If there is a glaring difference between the 90's teams and this one it is not the players...its the coaching. Hell Jimmy even won a big Thanksgiving game with a low talent redheaded backup quarterback who is still the golden child in Dallas..

I've said our talent level has dropped over the years.

Nope....It was kinda balanced in the first half...there were only 2 early rushes in the 3rd quarter...none in the fourth.

That KILLED our defense.

We panicked. You HAVE to protect your defense!

This offense only cares about scoring...it needs to do much more than that to really be successful in the NFL.

Around 25 of those pass plays were called once we were down 17-0. And I'd bet at least half of the remaining 25ish pass plays called were in passing situations. We faced a 3rd and 13, 19, and 23 in the 3rd quarter alone.

We had several other 3rd and longs as well because we got stopped for short yardage on several running plays.

Trust me I get the importance of running the ball, but if Roy can catch, doesnt fumble, and Flo can block a blitzer I highly doubt we're eve having this conversation

The Green Bay game was Huge...10 - 6 we'd better have swept the Eagle and Skins to win the division because Green Bay has an easy schedule...counting on them losing 3 is tough.

110% agree that good running game plus good receiving game makes for a dominants. They couldn't stop Michael Irvin, they couldn't Emitt Smith cause really it was hard to predict what we were gonna do, and that was a big reason why we were rolling over everybody in the 90s.

It's very hard to make a clear cut case for that call. The lineman attempted his block within the first yard that he is "allowed". Granted the block was MADE two yards downfield but the umpire was right next to it and didn't call it.

That call wasn't made because he was more or less protecting the quarterback and not blocking someone down the field to set up a screen after the pass.
