I think what people need to remember is that the foster mom wasn't being a bitch just because she wanted to and think she wanted to take Lucy away just to take her away. From her point of view not knowing what the viewers know she thought she was making the right decision. She saw a little girl that needed help, and wanted to give her the most she could. And in the end, she had hoped to make a good mom for her but was disappointed too. Keep their limited views in mind, she was trying to do good.

I love sam is english masala and DTM is tamil masala.. DTM got a same story line as i love sam, but they did very good job to tailor it to the sentiments we love to see! Sam is a character that is much wiser than arguably 90 percent of the worlds population. Despite his disability he knows concepts of what is right and wrong. Many would look at him and automatically think "Retard", however, I belieive he is much much more smarter than those who judge him. Using lyrics from beatles songs(anectdotes) to make sense of a situation, and his choice of decisions is something beyond many "educated" people are able to do... We have a lot to learn from characters like Sam

I've watched lots of movies before seeing this one, but this one hit close to home with me....shortly after having back surgeries, and learning how to walk and do everything again, I saw this movie with my ex wife. An overwhelming connection came over me, a connection with Sam, from hearing from my friends and ex being called a "gimp" but my girls are the world to me and they know no boundaries will stop me from protecting them!!!
