  • are you a beginner to photoshop? you don't blend the images together very well, and there is not a lot of textures in ur photos at all. I'm not hating but just giving constructive criticism.

  • OH MY GOODNESS, these have been the most useful videos ever! Thanks so much :)

  • Thanks !! Loved it..

  • oh god.. i really wanna try... i'll do it someday.. great toturial anyway ^^

  • Nice tutorial. Thanks.

  • WOW this is so cool

  • Thanks, your video helped me alot.

  • could u not just use the burn/ dodge tool? instead of clipping the layers?

  • tnx for the tutorial =]]] wow that's amazing work you did

I did photoshop before but I never did those painting stuff... and now I really wanna learn

    tnx =]

  • cool vid thx:)

  • i got photoshop because i saw some crazy art from dis artist like nico and stephanie i enjoy drawing but this is cool and i want to give it a shot and good tutorial serrator

  • hi serrator!

nice clip! would have been nice to see you painting the orb and do all the shading. i'm totally new to ps so i don't really have a clue.

looking forward to seeing more clips :)

    cheers

  • what is the reasoning for making separate layers for the gown and sleeves? the shadows and highlights clipping masks i get

  • jpc1971...thanks for checking out the vid.

My only reason for the separate layers was to help me control the shading that I was doing, in other words when I want to shade the main robe I wouldn't have to be careful to get the shading on the sleeves and such. You can definitely do them all on one layer though, I just found it to be a little easier for me to shade them separately. Have fun.

  • ok cool, that makes sense.

    thanks for your reply

  • liked your tutorial i have one question. What tablet do you recomend for painting on photoshop? i hear Genius is a good one

  • sigiare01, first thanks for checking out the tutorial...glad you liked it! As far as a graphics tablet I use Wacom, specifically the Graphire. They take a little to get use to them but once you do they really work well for certain things.

  • @sigiare01 genious is shite wacom is the only tablet company worth investing in, they have a cheap range ideal for your first tablet called bamboo

  • awesome vid man. ive been wanting to learn how to do some stuff like this , this was a huge huge help, thanks a ton

  • well atleast the final product looks decent

  • the best tutorial i have ever seen

i am searching for ur other videos

(i really hope you have more)

  • Ur daughter is hot

  • Yeah, it's harder to understand how to paint watching speed paintings. Now, I know how to shade and highlight while keeping my details. Thanks Serrator3.

  • Thanks. The glowing orb is done using the spherize filter to achieve the 3d round look.

  • Me being a beginner to working in photoshop, I really feel that this part should be explained and shown in a "Part 3"

I hope you'd consider doing this to better show how you got your end result with the glowing sphere & the background.

  • A fabulous tutorial. Most of the stuff I've looked at are speedpainting but this is actually a well narrated lesson. I'm glad to see you've got loads of layers. I also use lots of layers and I thought I was probably cheating but I've done some nice images myself so it can be done even by a novice. Just practice and patience.

  • Thanks airscrew1!

Layers are free...and using more can only help with any editing process in the long run as you have discovered. Thanks again and you are correct, practice and patience will bring out better results!

    cya.

  • Photoshop Tutorial Part 1

  • thats super cool i take ps cs3 at school and u should it better

  • thank you very much, I needed this very badly. this is going to help me a lot.

  • Thanks guys for the feedback.

LedPinkFloyd...I agree it seems as if not much can come from this until you see the results that can be achieved.

ghettonito...if I understand your question you are wanting to be able to paint photorealistic skin features. I have not done that myself but start with a photo and add in elements.

  • wow i started watching and didnt think the result would be that good... now seeing the result i am amazed!!! i hope to find a tutorial on how you did the orb... if not you should post one!!!

  • its great...sir can you post a video on how to blend colors of the skin in photoshop like in realistic features...Id like to learn more about 3d painting in Photoshop..thanks

  • nice tutorial.... really helpful... u did one thing best that most others don't do well.... communicate....

  • This is a very good tutorial. Thank-you for making it and posting it.

  • Another great tutorial! I hope you post more.

Gonna try this when I get a little time.

  • THe only thing i would suggest is using the gaussion blur to help blend the ropes line work.

  • damn that looks awesome!

  • omg omg omg! what recording software do u use! pm me back! its awsome! and awsome tut!

  • very nice, I love photoshop, but I've never made anything realistic, that robe at the end was getting there, I imagine if you had more time you'de spent more time on details, I'd recommend using your imagination more in your work, we all know what cloth looks like, and if we think hard enough we can draw it pretty well. nice vid ^^

  • Thanks guys! I will see about making a short vid on the orb.

  • nice tutorial thx!!! and yea if you have some free time plz make tutorial how create this fantastic orb :)

    one more big thx

  • I'd love to know how to make that glowing orb. nice tutorial!

  • Thanks discoverngc!

  • this was very nice, thank you for posting.

    You are good :)

  • Wow, you are really good, I hope I can be that good some day. :)

  • Thanks nguzak! It really is not that hard once you do a few...have fun.
