So I wouldn't say London control of the PSNI is in violation of the Belfast Agreement, I'd say the Agreement is still being implimented.

The DUP can only drag their feet on this for so long before they have to face the people.
There will be a Westminster election in May and if policing isn't devolved soon Sinn Fein will pull out of the executive and trigger an Assembly election.
I don't think the electorate of Northern Ireland will be too kind to the DUP if they break their manifesto promise on policing (not to mention the Robinson affair).
One way or another, the issue will be resolved.

The Belfast Agreement called for complete reform of the old RUC, culminating in the creation of the PSNI, controlled from Northern Ireland and comprising of 50% Unionists officers and 50% Republicans officers. Everyone knew that it would take a long time for this to be fulfilled.
So I wouldn't say London control of the PSNI is in violation of the Belfast Agreement, I'd say the Agreement is still being implimented.
Even the DUP say policing should be devolved - just not yet.

Read what I said: 50% of officers in the PSNI are RECRUTED from Republican backgrounds. It will take time for the percentage of Republican officers in the PSNI to be at 50%.
My main point is that the PSNI is not governed from London because the 'evil British' want maintain control over Northern Ireland. It is because the DUP in elected Northern Ireland Executive don't want to devolve policing just yet.

However, this does not mean Northern Ireland is occupied. The PSNI is made of of people from Northern Ireland and is only there to protect the people of Northern Ireland. That's very different to an occupation.

I missunderstood your previous post. The people of Northern Ireland were given a vote on the amendment on 22 May 1998. 71% of people supported it.
Had they voted no the amendment would not have been put in place as the Belfast agreement needed the support of the north and the Republic.

You can't compare American Africans with Hamas militants. How dare you. African Americans were taken slaves, tortured, raped, used without pay. No Muslim in Israel has ever been taken as a slave. The same types of Muslims murdered Jewish folks after World War II who were peacefully residing on their own lands.

lol, i suppose you know the palestine was simply a name to describe the territory that consist of today's west bank, gaza and israel. it ownership was exhanged numerous times over history. it was hugely underpopulated and the land that jews moved in was owned by absentee landlord mostly. many of the arabs were themselves immigrants and it is rare that they die in the same villages they are born.

1.you are agains assuming there was indeed a 'palestinian people' in the same sense as we would say 'the Japanese people' who lived there for centuries. this is a myth. in 1947 most of the arabs were themselves immigrants from neighbouring countries. there was never a national identity of palestinians.
2.the UN partition plan which the jews accepted and the arabs rejected did not 'dispossess' the arabs. area given to jews were areas that already had a jewish majority.
