@12valvepower4 GTR isnt worthy of being mentioned with this beast. This is what happens when a V8 gets TT`d with the right tuning. GTR def deserves its respect for ability on the road course and ET/traps theyre putting down, but when something like this comes into the equation, imports almost altogether get thrown out the window. There are a few 4/6cyls that could keep up/beat it, but not many.

That RX-7 they built was pretty close to being what I'd consider a drag car, I bet it'd run low 8's with a high trap speed assuming it hooked. Who cares about a "top speed" run anyways? My daily driver 3800# Lincoln Mark VIII can do 134Mph on the PA turn pike LOL. It's basically a stock block with intake/exhaust work. My 99' Saab 9-3 SE get up there too. These have 3-5 times the power. Do the math.

@zooders LOL, It was on a slight incline where it opened to 3 lanes (far right is Semi lane) and is somewhat rural in Western PA on 76 heading east about 10-15 miles into the state. Did it about 2-3 years ago in very light traffic. Had to turn off OD as I was near it's limit and OD wasn't liking the speed. Wouldn't do it again as your literally driving DOUBLE the legal limit and passing people like they're doing 15 in a 75mph zone.

@herwoo12 from heat turbos produce a lot of heat their headers are designed to take the heat but do not try this with crap made exhaust systems you will make HOLES lol any exhaust can get RED hot but under most circumstances its a BAD thing if there is a turbo being SPUN up real high its going to make LOTS OF HEAT. DO not touch or put water on it....water = explode lol

The bottom end of these motors can likley handle well over 9 grand but he would have to make valve train upgrades to operate at that RPM . These engines are purpose built. Max Power @ or around 6500 needs specific heads ported in a specific way with a specific Cam profile and valve train a 9000 Rpm engine needs specific parts as well. BUT the Bottom end is built to take abuse as with every part in Nelsons engines. No need for crazy spring pressure with a 6500 motor.

@mastatikle they build like 3 different small blocks that produce 2500hp. 1 is a 441sbc. 1 is a LSX454sbc and 1 is a 428sbf. I believe they are all under race gas warrors. With the duel fuel systems they can run on pump gas on primary and I believe its C16 on secondary.

The strongest 1fz I've seen was built by Kenny Duttweiler and was 1800hp race engine. 2500hp in this engine seems a little much but I believe its possible but I doubt its streetablity. If we were talking full race engines, how about this!! Prolineracing builds a 3250hp small blk, and a 4000hp big blk. See their website and youtube channel. They build big power and get it to the ground.

@pettersaethre F1 engines aren't for road use, for one. The only vehicle that I can recall with an F1 engine was the Ferrari F50 (not sure if the "F50 GT" was even road legal). For two, put any F1 engine into a Chevelle or Barracuda etc. and see if it goes anywhere. Sure, those engines are really cool and rev really high, but in my opinion, a streetable v8 making 2,000+ ft-lbs of torque on a mild tune is alot more impressive. Horsepower means very little, torque is what really matters.

@xX01RKXx Simply put, V8s make more power and torque. They are also lighter and more compact. You can get a lot of power out of a V12 but they won't be as reliable, they are too big to fit in many cars, they are heavier, and will be much more expensive.

It was supposed to be a street and strip car with 3000hp. It had dual funnycar cages. I dont know what happened to it. I was following it for sometime. Then I went on their site oneday and it was gone, removed. Not sure if it became top secret or if the project somehow failed, or what. I sent them an email asking about it, but no responses.
