It's probably because friends don't want to talk to eachother about eachother, (anything but that) and their attention is outward. In romantic relationships we're always focused inward. Trust me, girls don't sit there with their girlfriends going "what are you thinking?" because we don't have to ask. Friendship relationships are kind of like: if you need to talk, I'll listen, but its kind of uncomfortable
