Hmm....what a veggie smorgasbord,....but, is it just me but seems like dandelion is an endangered species, before this year i used to always see it around, and now, not much,..then again its being harvested for salads, i hear there are supermarkets back in the USA that have begun sellin' dandelion greens.Thumbs up good buddy!! =D
@qualqui I think maybe in the city it has been discouraged by roundup and other poisons. Out in the field though, man- I still see it thick as thieves. It's been an unusual two years for weather, but it is tenacious and almost impossible to get rid of. I couldn't imagine a wind-sown weed going extinct. True though, this year it has been less seen.
that stuff you were calling sorrel.. we were always told growing up that it is Billy Goat grass and of course we could eat it.. Just a southern name I guess..LOL
Prety sure I spotted Alpine Smartweed or "Ladies Thumb" too. Kind of a trailing plant with a spike of purple-pink flowers. On the grasses, The best part is the starchy white base of the stem.
@MrBudwv I thought so, That stuff overtook the water mint and I was able to feed it to the guinea pigs. I figured it wouldn't kill you the pigs loved it.
@MsPumkineater And thank you for watching! More to come so stay tuned. Same bat-time, same bat-channel.
