Golf games are the easiest to do on the wii, cus all you're really doing is just swinging your arms together up and down, and thats it. i'm pretty sure the natal commercial is the most spectacular gaming advertisement the world has ever seen. as gamers we are skeptic and should be, but think if they pull off half of the things they are aiming for then it will sell indefinitely. motion sensor is kind of a gimmick, most of it is all mini games. think about the wii, only sensor games majority play are wii sports or any of the many mini game titles like rayman or mario party. if you have a choice not to use sensor, most don't.

the playstation motion controller, it's much like the wii mote in practice, but it claims to be more accurate. live demos have shown it to be extremely accurate but nothing is certain until it is released. it also is designed to have a lot of the capabilities of the microsoft natal; facial recognition, voice recognition and using everyday objects as peripherals. Disc Golf is entirely 1:1. The "delay" in Tiger's on-screen swing is probably to preserve the integrity of the animation. Think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if the thing was accurate enough to pick up a person's jitters like the Wii remote pointer is. Would you really want to see that on an in-game character?
You can also see the lag when you watch video of rockband being played on PS3, Xbox360, and Wii.. what's your point? Camera's don't capture everything in perfect time, even if everyone thinks so.
If the Wii Motion Plus is supposed to be true 1:1, how come there's a slight lag between the player and the in game character? I just watched the PS3 Motion Controller and it looks flawless, unfortunately.
I dunno whether to get this for my PS3 or my Wii... the Wii has the motion control, but will be lackluster in graphics and probably online play. I guess I'll try the PS3 demo and see if I like the controls. We stay up for hours playin Tiger, Drinking beer (Both in the military, stationed in different parts of the world.) It's a great time (esspecially with XBOX live now). Can't do it on the wii, lose connection all the time...plus, you just get tired of all the stading and someone would eventually fall over from all the drinkin' HA HAH HAH!

That's the beauty of the Wii, we haven't even seen HALF the uses that controller is going to have in the future simply because the input method is still by and large an infant and most companies, Nintendo included are still wrapping their heads around it. In a sense, we're in the NES era of motion controls. The NES era (which the 360 and PS3 are STILL part of) didn't start off perfect, BUT it did eventually get there. So will the Wii.
the wii mote by itself is so damn in responsive I think it's already shown it's limitations, and the ps3 and 360 are getting more accurate controllers anyways, as well as having far more innovative gameplay, and far more quality visuals and overall presentation.

Hmm... That gimmicky control system has far more potential than the 3-gen-old Playstation controller.
It's been used as a Sword (with motionplus) a steering wheel, a gun, a NES controller and far more things. Developers just need more creativity than you.
Also, there's the Virtual console, and also news and weather, and the fact that I can easily lift it with one hand.
wow the ps3 controller has been used as a sword a steering wheel and a gun amazing, only difference is that instead of pushing the analog stick forward to punch you push the wiimore forward, and that everytime you push the analog stick forward the right way the game will do the same thing unlike on the wii where your character still puches the chest when you clearly aiming for the head.
Hey, no fanboyism here. I won't deny that the 360 is a great console in its own right, as is the PS3. I myself just prefer the Wii because it's different, has far more intuitive controls and because I really like the Zelda and Mario series.

i'm pretty sure the natal commercial is the most spectacular gaming advertisement the world has ever seen. as gamers we are skeptic and should be, but think if they pull off half of the things they are aiming for then it will sell indefinitely. motion sensor is kind of a gimmick, most of it is all mini games. think about the wii, only sensor games majority play are wii sports or any of the many mini game titles like rayman or mario party. if you have a choice not to use sensor, most don't.

the playstation motion controller, it's much like the wii mote in practice, but it claims to be more accurate. live demos have shown it to be extremely accurate but nothing is certain until it is released. it also is designed to have a lot of the capabilities of the microsoft natal; facial recognition, voice recognition and using everyday objects as peripherals. I was suggesting it because since you already own a ps3 why not get this add on instead of buying an whole other system.

Nintendo probably released a wii motion plus for now with slight lag so they can screw over people again in the future where they release a wii motion plus plus which has more close to 1:1 true time.
Seems like something they'd do. Why can't they take more time to develop it to make it more close to 1:1.. I'm losing faith in nintendo to be honest.

the lag is just for animation purposes, its still reading ur swing 1:1, just not showing it. If u watch the disk golf, u will see it is true 1:1.

If you aren't a fan of Nintendo, the fact remains that Nintendo is always the one taking the daring step forward. Which is a bigger leap: Nintendo going from regular joysticks and buttons to motion sensing control, or Sony going from the Wiimote to a more precise Wiimote that even looks similar, after watching Wii's commercial success for 4 years? Don't get me wrong, I like Sony, especially for Tekken, but Nintendo will alway lay the foundation for the two "followers".

The new motion controllers take the idea of the wiis motion controller and bring it to a level in whichit is practical to be used in real gaming.

The joystick, motion sensor, shoulder buttons, it was all technology used before in other things before nintendo brought it to home systems. Disc Golf is entirely 1:1. The "delay" in Tiger's on-screen swing is probably to preserve the integrity of the animation. Think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if the thing was accurate enough to pick up a person's jitters like the Wii remote pointer is. Would you really want to see that on an in-game character?

I guess I'll try the PS3 demo and see if I like the controls. I just wish that stupid EA would stop with the 9gig cap on their games, if I was a game designer, I would push each system to the max, and not hold things back due to the other systems... ah well.

I'm just not that big of a fan of the wii Tiger, Me and my brother have a tradition since 05'. We stay up for hours playin Tiger, Drinking beer (Both in the military, stationed in different parts of the world.) It's a great time (esspecially with XBOX live now). Can't do it on the wii, lose connection all the time...plus, you just get tired of all the stading and someone would eventually fall over from all the drinkin' HA HAH HAH!

Well, I hate to break it to you, man, but it's not like they can just design any game with badass graphics. The graphics engine on a Wii can only improve so much before it gets to it's peak. But, thats not why I bought mine. I want more games that involve 4 players. And not the worthless crap that they have out now but games like Wii Sports and other games that the whole group will enjoy. And no offense, but the first redsteel was a horrible game. Wii motion plus better be worth it...

That's the beauty of the Wii, we haven't even seen HALF the uses that controller is going to have in the future simply because the input method is still by and large an infant and most companies, Nintendo included are still wrapping their heads around it. In a sense, we're in the NES era of motion controls. The NES era (which the 360 and PS3 are STILL part of) didn't start off perfect, BUT it did eventually get there. So will the Wii.

Hmm... That gimmicky control system has far more potential than the 3-gen-old Playstation controller.
It's been used as a Sword (with motionplus) a steering wheel, a gun, a NES controller and far more things. Developers just need more creativity than you.
Also, there's the Virtual console, and also news and weather, and the fact that I can easily lift it with one hand.
