They're growing to be a more complex, original band, and not being pushed around by what other people think. Look at the Beatles: they got famous by playing poppy love songs. But then they changed their style up, played stuff that was completely different, following their inspiration. And they changed music forever.

I did not like the three new songs at first, but after I came to accept that my favorite feel good pop punk-core band was changing, I grew to love their new stuff. It's a LOT better than most of the generic rock songs out there, so I am going to embrace the change and hope that this will bring a new generation of listeners to FYS! Legends Never Die!

I love this one. "Stuck In The Middle" is growing on me and I really dislike "Just Drive." Then again, I'm a hardcore kid, so RODT will always be my favorite. It's by no means selling out, and it still sounds great. It's extremely excellent production, and you can still hear all their talent on their instruments. It's personally not my favorite, and it's definitely different stylistically, but it's still good.

I'm really happy with the new songs. It's one more step. I mean...if you listen to Rise or die trying,it was kindda poppy stuff,it wasn't powerfull as Enemy of the world. Compare any song in RODT with any song in EOTW. The last ones are really differents. With this songs i feel the same. Are really differents to Enemy of the world,is more hardrock...and it's awesome!. But we have to wait to hear the full album to make a more accurate review.
I like both of the songs that have been released. Once you've made it you have enough freedom to experiment with your sound (see Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Green Day). Kudos to FYS for trying something new! It sounds more like songs like On a Saturday and Enemy, and although I don't like it AS MUCH as the pop-punk/happy hardcore kinda stuff, it's still some good music. =)
The chorus in this song goes so hard. I don't think I'll ever grow to like "Stuck In the Middle," but at least there's hope for the new album. And to everyone saying "You're supposed to be -insert ignorant classification-" don't you think it's the band's prerogative to create their own sound? Just because their old music was classified as whatever genre doesn't mean they have an obligation to play into that expectation.

This is the best part about bands espically Fys you get to watch them go through their musically years. I don't think they sound THAT different, they don't have any synth but that's about it all the usual melodies and breakdowns or whatever are still there. Personally, I just really love that they're still bringing out new music!

@chilimayhem their breakdowns were the shit, but this is still awesome. i wouldnt be surprised if they dont have anymore hardcore breakdowns tho. they said they were trying for a totally new sound with this album. i mean theyre not using synth anymore.

This is the best part about bands espically Fys you get to watch them go through their musically years. There are some albums you will hate and some that you will be just like FUCK YES THAT WAS FUCKING ORGASMIC you dont have to like the new CD if you go to a show their going to play there old stuff too. And the more music they make the bigger the stage and shows go longer. SO suck it up you whinny cock sucking whores who bounce from band to band never happy because your father beat you :D

I don't think they sound THAT different, they don't have any synth but that's about it all the usual melodies and breakdowns or whatever are still there. Personally, I just really love that they're still bringing out new music!

I just don't think I can get down with this. I'll still give it a chance - it sounds like a good... Winter album. (that's weird to say)

For those who say they sold out, They didn't. They changed a little, and not for fame, just because they thought it sounded good. This isn't the selling out kind of change, this is them changing in a good way. This is still Four Year Strong, just a little different.

Those soft parts are weak as hell. These guys just don't riff like they used to, their music isn't as raw as it used to be (was a positive part of their style) and this is really just going even further downhill than Enemy of the World. That was a good album, but you could tell they were deviating from what made them amazing. This sounds like a new Offspring song -_-
