Testy? No, i am just tired of clicking on a video and seeing the same comments over and over again, the ones refering to the number of dislikes that are on a video and they think that they are being clever, it gets agitating
or maybe they have a different opinion of the music just like everyone in the world you ignorant fuck! now stop paying attention to the number of dislikes on a video and making those cheap-ass comments on them and just listen to the music
The intro still gives me chills.... I am immediately thrown back to the time and place when I first listened to this song. (which happened to be a rainy night in an 89 camaro...go figure lol)
@aravna I honestly prefer LaBrie. Dominici is a fantastic singer, but I don't feel like he was as good of a fit with the band. On top of this, his particular tone made them sound a bit like a Queensryche cover band.
@FullMetalFurbee No, this song is about two different subjects. This one is about someone who dreams of dreaming away while driving, while A nightmare to remember is based on an actual happening John petrucci experienced.
Actually, based on the tempo and key of the song, I think Charlie (a classially trained singer) does a fantastic job in this song. However, my opinion and yours are just what they are: opinions.
I love this song, and the overall mood sits among Dream Theater's best in my heart.
From the context, symbology, and tone of the song, as well as the ambience, my guess is that it's about a really intense acid trip that John Petrucci had.
I'm not sure if you've ever done acid, but the experience to me sure reminds me of this song. Just read the lyrics.
The intro pretty much = Rush - No One At The Bridge (from the Fountain of Lamneth)

Gonna be a long time before this band is this good again...if ever.

It took me forever to realize the intro solo on this is Petrucci going crazy with delay and the whammy bar and not keyboards.

The intro reminds me of an alien abduction or eerie UFO encounter in the woods.
