We need this one for Windows 2000, since MS will not fix the problem for this OS. Unfortunately, the current version of the Sophos tool does not apply to Windows 2000.

Microsoft has released a patch for this through the automatic updates. It isnt the one that blanks out icons. so you dont need to use this anymore.

Update to previous comment; The quick launch icons that whited out returned. This took about ten minutes though. I will post again if I notice any significant problems.

I installed it, and all of my quick launch icons whited out. All other shortcuts seem unaffected, though.
