Yes he was and I filmed it and that is what makes it even more impressive. It took Brad only a few takes but he nailed it again like he did on the original recording with steve Smith.

It only took him a few takes but he nailed it as you can see. The drum kit is actually my Gretsch kit. We were not trying to fool anyone but at the time there was no way to schedule Brad and Steve again so we just did it this way.

I think this is the same Brad Russell that played on Deen Castronovo's dvd back in 1991. He had some nice playing on Deens dvd. Great bass player and of course the Great playing Steve Smith.
