I am guilty. One of the people who never listened until she was dead. And now I am kicking myself because Amy was bad and I mean that in a good way. This girl could blow! And not because she died, but because I have now listened to her, I realize how fantastic she truly, truly, truly was.
She was very talented and yes she had problem, don' t we all and who are we to judge her. I myself am a drug addict and alcocholic and I have had a hard time puttings those things aside. And I am just a normal girl so imagine her dealing with all the fame and not been herself. I admire her and respect her and is sad that she didn't win the battle.

Louis Armstrong did not necessarily have a traditionally amazing voice..but we learned to realize that it was, and love it...because it was unique and gave a flavor and emotion to the music he was singing...making it AMAZING.

I don't know much about Amy and I am not a follower of her but no one deserved to die the way she did. Such a sad waste of a life. I just hope her passing is not lost on someone else and that people learn from it and seek help if they need it. Knowing someone who committed suicide that way I know what it's like to go through it.

I read this somewhere; "Sometimes someone comes along with such a talent that their light shines twice as bright but only for half as long" Hope she's happy with Jim Morrison, Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix, Mama Cass and Frank Sinatra. Just imagine being on their cloud, jammin' with Bob Marley, Roy Orbison George Harrison and John Lennon. Only the good die young.....which is why there is so much crap music left on Earth. If I could be on their cloud I wouldn't be afraid of dying

British people, contrary to popular belief are not generally racist; we are all too busy trying to get by to worry about such political and abusive issues. Its only people who have nothing to do ponder the issues of racism..and they're usually white!!!!! Amy Winehouse was Amy Winehouse. She was a girl from an unremarkable household who had an awesome voice. Her colour had no baring on her sound.

@dooalittledippsy Not in the slightest, your problem is like many of the old white "prog rockers (anything but) in the seventies you simply have such a limited range of music you listen too you dont now much better and the record industry can off load average singers like whinehouse on an ignornt public as "talented" a great example of this is when Odell actually sang reasonably ok for a pro at the brits she was lauded, well it was ok but the audience knew no better,

When Amy says at the ending "I never want it to end" that hurt... I can't believe how depressed&broken I feel over some1 I never even knew personally! This is a pleasant surprise. I've always heard about her and her problems but I never knew she sang songs like this. Not what I had imagined. I would have followed her more closely had I known this. She did a beautifull job with this song, one of my favorites.
