  • their going to the same Cawl ee forn eya governor arnold went to

  • HAHAHAH! I love it! ...and folks...this isn't for an album...it's just a humorous piece for a variety show

  • Agnetha looks really happy in this video. Love it!

  • ABBA launches their international career by singing an old Americana classic in inebriated Swenglish. It does kinda look like Agnetha would've rather have finished her Hamm's than sing the song -- amp down, Agnetha lol Awesome post!

  • cute!!

  • I liked some of ABBA's songs but not this one. I've never really understood the fanaticism some people have for this group.

  • Thats beacouse u really dont have anything in your head

  • how cute....with the accents .....

  • Wonderful video in glorious Black and White

a reminder from yesteryear, when things were taken at a much slower pace.

  • haha is that abba

  • This is great, how Benny can be embarrassed? When they make the documentary DVDs "Super Troupers" I wish they'd add whole performances like this as extras, they have to know fans love most obscure and amusing pieces. But thank the heavens for this place, where we can just watch them all night long and forget it's way past your bedtime.

  • Fully agree

  • they sound just like Schwarzenegger

  • Ok, Ta least I've found it!!! This is the best Abba video I've ever seen!!!!! They are crazy!!!!! I love them!!!!

  • Don't know if anyone else noticed - but Agnetha forgot the words half way through the second verse and improvised with a 'dum dum dum'. Classic clip

  • haha ABBA lol :D

  • Its a wander how they can sing perfectly in tune when obviously they are drunk! they look so different back then, i with they could stay like that for ever

  • Holy crap! They are so young in this video.I appreciate your kindness for sharing this to ABBA fans. I agree with angel585 about her view on the importance of the mezzo soprano especially when they are singing alongside a soprano. Without Frida they will sound just another singers. Agnetha and Frida blends like an aromatic exotic coffee the world has ever tasted. Agnetha is the coffee and Anni is the sugar.

  • I definitely agree that Bjorn & Benny were not singing off key at all. They were singing the harmonies & were in tune. It may not sound that appealing because the men didn't have good voices & they have admitted this. The girls had the star vocals & the comment about Agnetha going off is also confusing since she was also on pitch & the only female voice audible & deliberately slid down at the climax. You can barely hear Frida at all. I wonder if she was singing.

  • I don't know about you, but I can hear Frida just fine. Sure, her voice is lower than Agneta's, but you gotta grow an ear for the mezzo soprano singers, espeicially when they're singing along side a soprano ;)

  • I think Frida and Agnetha sang in Unison for the most past. They are impossible to pick apart when they sing like that.

As for her being on pitch, the end was really the only questionable part.

  • holy cow! Agnetha looks mega young in this video.

  • Well when they filmed this, November 1st, 1970. Agnetha had just turned 20 yrs. old, 2 or so months before. But Agnetha started singing professionaly when she was around 18.

  • zippy little ditty!

  • Thought this was as in the O.C. theme tune for a moment wtf lol! Agnetha's definitely drunk! That last note hurts - she hits it at first then goes so off.... thank god she proved herself in later years!

  • 00:18 - (*Bump*) 'Oh, yeah, I forgot I'm supposed to smile.'

  • I reacon Agnetha's drinkin the real stuff lol

  • so "Black and White Minstrel Show" -ish- quite humerous

  • I love ABBA, and California here I come!

    George Vreeland Hill

  • wow

  • Benny and Bjorn are not singing off key at all. They are singing the harmony to the melody and they are right on pitch. This song is always sung with kind of a sliding in to the pitches anyway. Cal-i-forn-ia here I come. Sort of sung like a slide trombone would sound. Waa-waa-waa-waa Wa-waa waa.

  • what the helll lol. whats wrong with them lol

  • Frida looks so fucking sexy!!!!

  • Very strange video. Funny and interesting though. I doubt that Agnetha was drunk though, doesn't really seem like it to me.

  • Ha! Always in for a joke. :-)

  • when was this filmed??

  • abba was fun !

  • Can't believe I'm watching this! That is a masterful snippet of film. Wow!

  • Great fun...Didn't even know it existed..Thnx!

  • Agnetha looks very different! Thanks for the funny movie!

  • Well they had to start somewhere.. How did they get roped into doing this!

  • LOL

    thx

  • good abba movie got it on dvd quite funny some bits benny and bojorn should never sing very off key

  • O.O WOW Look at Frida flirting with Benny instead of Bjorn (Like in the movie!) Thanks SO much. I wish i could buy a compilation of all the rare abba stuff <3 to you for this !

  • don't you mean the other way around? I'm pretty sure Anni-Frid was married to Benny Andersson.

  • Nope. In the movie, there was a weird dynamic between Frida and Bjorn. Have you seen it?

  • Harhar, not yet. I want to.

  • It is essential to any obsessvive abba fan... (I had to get it off VH1 in '96)

  • Frida was married to Benny.

    Agnetha was married to Bjorn.

There may have been some dynamic between Frida and Bjorn in ABBA-the movie, because it was made in 1977. Frida and Benny got married in 1978.

  • Oh gosh..wow...that was aweful! lol. I love their accents. Geez, Agnetha looks so different. :P Love them anyways.

  • Hey thank u so much for putting that here, ive wanted to see that for ages! Thanks!
