  • vintage tv 2 lol

  • Do you have any other video game systems apart from the Atari and the Gamecube? My brother has a Wii and we've downloaded quite few NES and Master System games onto it, but I wish games from the Atari VCS and other Atari systems were available for download onto the Wii, that would be so cool. Yes I know it would be using an emulator, but I still think it would be awesome.

  • My brother has a Wii, Nintendo 64, PS3, Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Color, and 2 old Game Boys, one gray and the other clear.

  • Old school fun. Like the TV with no AV channel, rush to put in a new game when you turn it off and the white static comes on! I think most of the 80's and early 90's generation also played in their parents lounge pissing off everyone in your family. Good times!

  • i had an atari 2600 about 7 months ago but i gave it my brother because i was afraid it would my fuck up my brand new $200 flat screen digital ATSC progressive scan tv

  • i play rune scape too ,

  • how many volts does an Atari use? i lost the power transformer for mine

  • Looks like you and your friends had a good time. I would LOVE to find something like this. Unfortunately there not much vintage stuff going about around where I live. My parents had one of these, some time ago but sadly it died and its long gone. I can play these games on an emulator, still get the vintage graphics, games and awesome sound FX, but it's just not the same thing.

  • I'm sure you'll find an Ateri system like this one somewhere, or maybe you could look at getting one of the early 80's computers such as an Acorn machine or an Amstrad.

  • Wow! I haven seen one of them in over a decade. That system is older than you guys!

  • cool, I wanna play!

  • no loading screens, i love it.

  • Man, that Atari looks to be in really nice shape.

  • That originally came out in the late '70s. I was a little kid back then when I first saw one at a store. Never owned one (which is a good thing because I would rather have a Commodore 64). I have ATARI - The 80 Classic Games and Activision Anthology Remix. That's a lot of games originally for the Atari 2600! Neither one has Defender (no big deal to me). I can play them vintage games on my PC. The original Defender by Williams is one of my favorite '80s video games.

  • Nice!

  • Question for you: Is that a heavy sixer (made in Sunnydale Ca.) or one of the newer, lighter models (made in Taiwan or some other foreign country)? The heavy sixers are worth a lot of money to collectors.

  • It's very lightweight.

  • After re-watching the video, I realized I already had my answer. Oh well, thanks for the response and nice find! 8)

  • Nice Score

  • Nice system! I used to love the Atari since I was a kid when I had an Atari 2600. AVGN has that on one of the series of video. AVGN loves the Atari where James reviewed a game called "Halloween" and a number of Atari games. Be warned, the 5200 was the worst gaming console of all time.

For those of you have seen it, go watch AVGN's videos.

  • great games you got there! Life In The Fast Lane on the radio at the end, awesome.

  • We had the Haunted House Game for the 2600. The fire button lights a match. You mission is to find the three peices of the Urn (left and right handle and the center) and return it to the main entrance where you started on level 1 before your lose all nine lives. Going through the different games with the select switch gives your different challenges with locked doors and more baddies. There's more but I can only do 500 charecters.

  • wow, i had atari when i was very little. we played them on a b/w tv.

  • awesome man!!! I would do anything for an old atari game console.

You have the original 1985 Nintendo console? I grew up on that!! good times.

aaaah you'll be spending hours a day playing that thing!

  • I don't have the NES.

  • I do have the NES with 7 games!

  • the original 1985 NES is AWESOME!!! It's hard to find a working one though. they weren't very reliable... they always break down, and almost never work properly, but when you actually do get it to work, there's some cool classic games on it. like PAPERBOY!! that was my favourite.

Super NES is extremely reliable though.... you can litterally send the machine to hell and back and it will still work perfectly, but it doesnt have that classic retro feel like the original NES.

  • Very true. Every time I get one used, it does the "flashing" thing and requires disassembly and thorough cleaning of all the cartridge contacts and switches.

  • haha ya the flashing thing!! Mine did that when it was brand new!

  • get an NEX they are a nes remake and its super thin

  • Those old game systems are great TV screen burners.

  • nobody cares about what you think
