Is the discrimination towards Americans really necessary? The stereotype for us Americans does only really applies to a small percentage of our population.
People say that gator gars are "monsters", and "mindless killing machines", but when you look at how they treat these so-called "monsters" with such cruelty and barbarism, you'll know that they're the ones that are the real monsters.
I just caught myself a 5 foot gar with a medium rod and a little shrimp. I noticed all the fish were jumping all over the place until i caught it. After a while i let it go
if these gar are as old as has been said and nearly got wiped out for just looking guilty... don't you think they might be slightly more intelligent than to aggrovate and attack against them? ... true their fish low intelligence but EVERY creature on this planet knows what will drive it extinct except humans
This fish can be eaten at Mambo Seafood restaurant in Houston Texas, you can also buy gar steaks at the Fiesta Grocery store in Texas, I am gonna guess that someone farms them? What a great fish!
i was bass fishing in a very small river here in Northeast Georgia in White County and i saw a snake crossing the river i was gonna cast out and catch it and bout the time i casted out a huge gar came up and took the whole snake it was crazy looking how a fish eat a 4 to 5 ft water moccasin or copper head just in the blink of an eye i have been after it every since then and still aint been able to catch it >: ( but o well i just like see what it did a story to tell everyone : )
I hope the aligator gar doesn't die off because it's amazing that a prestoric animal could survive through out the time and any animal that could survive unlike other animals from the prestoric times deserves to live.
Damn ive never seen a gar that big in the river by my house .. they usually dont get bigger than 3 or 4 feet .. i have seen one in a creek that was atleast 5 1/2 feet ... they usually travel in small schools
saw afew dead ones about 18 inches long. each one had no hook on it but had a big open wound on the side of the body. like it was attacked by another?? teeth were fuckin sharp and the scales were actually beautiful
spoil the charm of the program? I thought it added a level of organic optimism. Sorry if we americans arent afraid to express ourselves still.
