I just noticed... if you could really use R.O.B. really well, and get good at his Final Smash, you could really rack up some damage on the opponent, and finish them off quickly once it's over...

yeah but if a gamer were to use more strategy in their moves then while the starstorm is going on you hit the enemy into the meteors path of destruction....now Donkey Kong's for example is sucky because all you have to do is move away then he gets the smash ball or launch something at him so he loses the smash ball

In the case of Donkey Kong, you're supposed to press A in rhythm to make the sound waves expand. Doing it perfectly will bring its range to nearly the size of the stage, regardless of how large the stage is. DK is also invincible as he's playing.

(Oh yeah, and I meant moving targets with the PK Starstorm.)

Yeah, running away is your best course of action against the bongos. I don't know if DK can move aorund, however. The first hit, when DK activates his Final Smash, does have a lot of knockback, however.

It's sad that some of the Final Smashes' lethality(?) pale in comparison to others. For example, Ike's FS looked amazing but only did 40-60% (I forget specifically) and knocks the opponent to the ground instead of left or right. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible and it's definitely better than a normal smash attack haha, but some (like Link's) seemed to be much more effective.

Many, if not all of the Final Smashes are context-sensitive. The PK Starstorm didn't look so effective, for instance, because it's meant for many foes on a small stage with non-moving targets. On the other extreme, what isn't shown about Marth's Final Smash is that if he misses, which happens if someone's not at the exact same horizontal level as him, Marth is the one who gets KOed.

I made an error in writing that; I meant that the PK Starstorm is best against moving targets. I've seen it used in a few Wi-Fi matches, and it's pretty good. The problem here was that the opponent was standing in a spot where the meteors weren't coming and at 0%, so it didn't do much.

im quoting you but this goes for all who complain that some of the moves suck, if you notice some of those moves are single targetted while others are area of effect. Meta Knights can damage everyone, while marth's im guessing works on a single person or is at least less likely to hit multiple targets
