I see no shattered barrier, and I also don't hear you talk about improved blink vs impact.

@LostInside1458 He explains why he doesn't use shattered barrier, and the Improved Blink... PvP is all about CC... the class with the best and most CC is the best class at PvP, which is why mage is so strong. They have silence (Arcane-tree), thousand freezes, slows, and then the final - Impact, which can be used as an interrupt, which is way better than a blink that improves your movement speed for 3 secs. You want to have all the CC you can get, you simply must prioritize CC above utility :)

There are a few things wrong with this, like Cone of Cold damage really isn't anything worth writing home about, so I wouldn't glyph it. Hell, an unfrozen ice lance out damages it. Also, I like not glyphing Frostfire Bolt because as Frost, we get it turned into a 70% slow, which is crazy good. That matches crippling poison. I instead like to spec Ice Shards which makes Blizzard far better at unstealthing people and it gives me free chill procs. Also, Blazing Speed doesn't remove slows, only root

May I ask why you dont go for mastery? I mean... You almost damage output on frozen targets. When you use fingers of frost + brain freeze.. You will do massive damage in 2v2 when the other target is sheeped?

Crit beats out mastery for overall damage. Shatter is 3x more crit that makes having crit a much better option since you're damage will consistently be higher. Essentially it boils down to 192 crit rating is = to 3% of crit while 192 mastery rating is 2.5% more damage. And for gems straight int is always better than mastery. Int gives you mana, crit, and spell power.

@Memalix Kind of confused but i think i get the question. Your asking if he binds his strafe to A and D instead of Q and E right? And if he bound it to A and D he would lose his turn left/right. Well, IF i understood right... i would say he doesn't need turn left/right because he is probably turning with his mouse.

i gem/enchant my mage with mastery + crit. i know alot of mages out there gem/enchant for SP + resil. but with mastery + crit, i can almost 1 shot healers, i have tons of burst after they got rooted or DFed.

@xzhou This is possible, but lately most of the mages have been destroyed by KFC or honestly any type of cleave. The extra resil is needed, damage output doesn't matter, only the lining up of the kill and keeping yourself alive matters.

@dyl2210 I used to run with it, but when the frost armor glyph came out in 4.1, the ice barrier glyph became inferior simply because Glyph of Frost Armor / Polymorph / Evocation are extremely essential.
