Would you like more examples of how this country is fulfilling the prophecies of scripture by going against the word of God?

That is exactly what I just pointed out that shows that it takes an enemy of God to do some of these things, and not a true man of God.

Yet george bush, president of one of the most powerful nations on the planet said that we should "teach the controversy", ie intelligent design in science classes. There is no controversy. evolution is fact. and guesses made by the MEN who wrote the bible have no place in science class.

But there are certain situations in which either the mother, or the childs life would be in danger if the pregnancy continues. I don't think it should be a free for all, let girls get pregnant and have an abortion every other week, but in certain cases, it is completely justified.

You also seem to misunderstand "theory". Theory doesn't mean that its just a guess. Theory is defined as: a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena.

Evolution is as much an established fact in the scientific community as the "theory" of relativity. Or the "theory" of gravity. or the "theory" of electromagnetism.

@roont Yes, I think the social security number is a bad thing, it is another step toward getting all people to be obedient to the laws of the land instead of God, try checking out the mark of the beast.

I'm not saying that the social security number is the mark of the beast, but it sure breaks down the defenses anyone might come up with to not take the mark when it is made law.

Do you understand what a "proposition" means? It does NOT mean fact. There are people that don't want to think that there could possibly be a God, and will believe in anything to explain away anything to cause doubt.

The fact that atheists are speaking out in the public arena does not mean that it is a religion. Up until only a few hundred years ago, if you were an atheist, you would be killed. Now that we have the ability to speak our voice we are damn well going to do it. Especially when the religious are the ones who hold the power. Which they do not deserve.

Why such suspenseful music, and accusations of acts of violence? Are they joking? There are fools everywhere, but it looks like the people who made some of the footage featured here seem to be deliberately trying to keep their audience ignorant. Atheists are not evil. They simply don't believe what you do. That doesn't make 'em evil, buddy.

Hhmm the only thing I'd comment on is the "Atheism is a belief system" line at the end. Atheism is just a rejection of a claim, specific to a god. You can be an atheist and have a belief system that governs your life that involves no god, so atheism in itself is not a belief system. Other than that, interesting watch.

Atheism, theism, deism, even agnosticism all have content. These are all ideas about the existence/non-existence of God(s). None of them are nothing. Someone who is nothing does not have any concept of God at all, positive, negative, or nuetral. Behind all if them is ultimately a claim to knowledge.

America is not in need of 'secularizing'. The Founding Fathers, many of whom were deists or skeptics founded the country on secular principles, precisely because a secular society is necessary to uphold people's freedoms - including freedom of religion. These people want to turn the US into a Christian theocracy, but I doubt they would be so eager to live in an Islamic theocracy. They are hypocrites. Also, there are radicals in all religions, and all are dangerous intellectual vandals.

Christians, especially, have been proselytizing for their religion for thousands of years; now that people have started seriously considering other ways of viewing the world, they don't like it. I am an atheist, but if we rely on science to to reveal the truth how can you then turn around to support abortion? Christopher Hitchens himself has stated that it is nonsense to believe that the unborn child is not a human being. Atheism is indeed a religion for some who feel they have to abide by a dogma of pro-choice and other left leaning issues. But, there are those of us who deny the existence of god and still look to science for answers even if it doesn't jive with out pre-existing belief

however, it is not a person, I don't remember the exact timelines, but as long as there's no self-functioning brain, you can be sure nobody actually NEEDS to care about the fetus, they might, but they don't have to, to be humane

In that case, the brain starts functioning at around 25 weeks. Does it deserve human rights at that point? Abortion is still legal until birth.
